I did some kind of research for finding cheap and prospective DMC players. And there are some results:

Simon Walton
Club: Hull
Age: 19
Price: $375K
Price is great for a player of such calibre. Physically strong DMC.

Mark Ellis
Club: Bolton
Age: 18
Price: $1.7M
Young age, cheap price

Stelvio
Club: Braga (POR)
Age: 18
Price: $16K
Lowest ever price for good DMC in Football Manager 2008!

Distel Zola
Club: Monaco (FRA)
Age: 18
Price: $325K
Price is very low also!! Good Determination!

Matthew Spiranovic
Club: Nurnberg (GER)
Age: 19
Price: $1.2M

Good price. Great aerial abilities. Superb determination - 20.

Ignacio Camacho
Club: Atletico (SPA)
Age:17
Price: $1.5M

Tight marking DM of very young age. Good Natural Fitness, Work Rate

Nice list. I've got Lucas, Digard, and Veloso as my two DM's, all excellent players who are great at getting forward as well.
 
i think marvin elliot is a good buy if your not a massive club his stats are pretty good and you can always get him cheap
 
I paid £12.5m for Distel Zola. He's quality
 
patricio araujo...he was 6mill-ish which is a bit steep but hes a gd DMC and hes and good CB as well
 
For lower league (champ) clubs, and maybe lower prem clubs, Biram Kayal (young israelian) is quite good and cheap i think...
 
Younousse Sankhare - French DM from PSG. Can be got for free at the start but may not want to join. From my experience become one of the best DM/MC's (statistically) in the game.

I have spiranovic for Leeds in the Premiership. He is top quality, I play him CB and he always dominates in the air.

Yann M'Vila is worth checking out. I got him on a free and he has 20 in passing, creativity, long shots and more. Brilliant creative defensive midfielder.
 
i had Camacho when he was about 21/22 and he was really good....

Marek Hamsik bit more expensive but quality
 
I am manager in VALENCIA and I have KACAR as DMC,,,,
Is very quality believe me...
very good in defence and having shoot like Steven Gerrard.
