Garrincha, no doubt. Messi comes second, Cruyff third imo.

Ronaldinho !

Absolutely he's the best winner in my opinion.
He have the best technique I thing among the other player above :)

It was Messi or Ronaldinho for me..

Ended up going with Messi, couldnt tell you why, both were/are unreal dribblers of the ball

Still suprised that Zidane has only 4 out of 85 votes.
Still think it will be hard to match his technique in future :)

And last night I was the best dribbler in the world :P

Riquelme should be in this list. I voted for Ronaldinho but meant to click on Maradona. I don't think anyone has anything on Maradona. In the modern game it's Messi. Hard to compare eras though.

Agree with this except for the bit on C. Ronaldo being the best in the 00's...no way on earth is Ronaldo a better dribbler than Messi. Most of Ronaldo's dribbling skill is needless stepovers and showboating, he uses his speed and not his skill to get by opposing players. Messi has way better close control, better skill, and is much more creative. I think Ronaldo is a great player and arguably better than Messi, but his strengths are his speed and shooting, not his dribbling.

Splitting them into decades is not a bad idea. In the early decades balls were heavier, but players were also slower, a lot slower. There was basically no physical training as it is today. Then again, only in the past two decades FIFA has decided to seriously protect the gifted players with all new rules regarding tackling. As I recall it, it started basically during WC94, before that, those players went straight into a carnage. Now, these days, the players dribble at amazing pace that you couldnt see before. Its always hard to compare, and its wrong to do so as well. But thats the beauty too...Its like that fake boxing montage between Rocky Marciano and Muhammad Ali....we will just never know for sure.
