Wanted to see what everyone would regard as their best player purchase on fm13?

Mine so far has to be Mason Bennett for £2.7Mil.. now worth £28mil and a 30 goal a season striker!

Shawcross has been my best signing for Liverpool if not the cheapest. £12.5m (I sold Skrtel for £12m). Average rating of 7.48 in the first season and 8.00 in the second (top rated player in the league plus chipping in with 7 league goals). I figured that with good decisions, composure and positioning he could play the way I wanted to with not much retraining. He can.

Most of my cheap signings have not yet fulfilled their potential - Mattia Destro on a free has done well so far though.

Kyriakos Papadopoulos. I usually pay >£20m but I've signed him every save since FM 2010 (when I could afford him obviously) and he's never let me down. Usually stays till he's well in his 30s.

My best non regen signing was probably yann m'vila. He's just awesome.

Gino Peruzzi, beast on the RB position. Gonna be my favourite player from this FM version

By best non-regen signing has to be Krul - got the Golden gloves 3 out of 4 seasons for me! (Cost £10m, I'm Arsenal)

Best bargain is probably Falcao - Not been amazing for me yet, but my tactic doesn't focus around my striker - however he only cost me £10m +Giroud & Rosicky (Giroud has been good for them admittedly, but was never good for me, Rosicky got released after a year without making an appearance (Currently playing in the Danish 2nd division :L)

mattia destro free 61games 39goals 10assist now worth 10.75mil all top 4 teams want him, nathan redmond ( im bham) 89games 20goals 24assists worth 9mil erm thomas drage 1mil 43games 10goals 22assists now worth 7.5mil im in 2015, G,kakuta is class aswell!! goal machine

I've played Rafael to be a DW (R) on my Man U save, he's been immense so far into the season, scoring, assisting and most importantly, tracking back! Definitely my most improved player.

Some quality signings.. I just remembered in one of my earlier saves aswell, I had shane long for reading, signed for 3.5Mil and he got 39 goals in 42 games in his 1st season.. that form continued, i really do advise people buy him regardless of which team you are!

Just sold him for £4mil in 2015. Tom Cleverly for 1.2mil is one of my best budget transfers, but signed some cracking players on free's (Dembele,Ter Stegen, Weiss & Denilson)

Thanks Raikan I will have a look at them. I have just signed Ter stegen on a free as well nconst, annoyed though as at the beggining of the season I had payed out 18.5ml for courtois! Does anyone rate goretzka and ginter at all.. ive seen some impressive screenshots but so far they havent improved at all?

there are around another 150 to add in the near future...

Goretzka and Ginter do have a bit of potential yes but not world beaters

My best signing/most improved has to be Lorenzo Crisetig. (playing as Liverpool)

Signed him on a free from Parma in June 2015. First position was DM, trained him as a CM straightaway, he is now natural in both positions. Avg rating of 7.5+ the 4 seasons since, now valued at £25 million. 4.5*.

Samuel Umtiti was another great free signing in 2015. Only rated as 3* but consistently a top performer. Not giving him as much playing time this season as I'm bringing through some young Brazilians with massive potential, but nonetheless a solid signing. Valued at £14.5 m, likely able to sell for £20 m plus from testing the water.

As far as regens go, my pride and joy at the moment his my Argentinean right FB/WB. Natural in both positions. Only aged 22 but already 4.5*, potential is 5*. Valued at £21 million. Again another free.

Of the joys of the Bosman ruling.

A regen cb for Newcastle, signed on a free transfer, 4 seasons later sold him to Liverpool for 35m

Thanks Raikan, really helpful! bosman ruling is a god send but I find my self signing players I just dont need! Does anyone else not like signing the regen players, I sign them for resale value but I never play them!

Hmm first season at Liverpool replaced Johnson with Corchia who was class but best player of the season was Coates, he got the highest rating for the Premiership in first and second season (has 10 goals in 30 games second season!:)

Second season best signing is Andre Ayew who had 8 goals in his first 10 games as a BBM, although he cost about 17mil!

So to reiterate I might not have signed him but sold Skrtl and played him constantly, best player....Coates :D

Lorenzo Insigne, free transfer at end of first season, 75 premiership goals in 3 seasons, world player of the year two years in a row. Now worth £34 million.

Paul Pogba. unstoppable at MC as a DLP. And he was free on 16k wages
