Portsmouth vs Southampton ^^)

Last 2 meetings = Portsmouth 4-1 Southampton, Southampton 1-4 Portsmouth. <)

Look there is a difference between atmosphere and rivalry, I can guarantee than Turkish fans are the best in Europe(And the second best in world after Argentina). Espically Beşiktaş fans. World Sound Record 132 Decibel, look to Beşiktaş 2-1 Liverpool match. But please don't look to return match...:'((Liverpool 8-0 Beşiktaş Champion's League Record)

I remember Vålerenga beat Besiktas in Turkey in the Euro Cup. The Vålerenga fans weren't allowed to wear their colours after the game, nor could they leave the stadium until two hours after. The reason? They'd get killed.

The Merseyside derby( Liverpool vs Everton ) is better than Liverpool vs Man Utd

I personally believe it to be El Classico.

I was lucky enough to go to Luis Figo's return to the Nou Camp, when a deranged fan threw a pigs head at him while he was taking a corner. I was actually frightened for my life during that match. The passion was insane, it's literally like a war. It's politics, but on a whole other level.

I remember driving to the stadium, and every single lampost had a dummy hanging from it wearing a Real Madrid Figo shirt. Was some scary ****.

For that reason, El Classico is the biggest footballing rivalry in the world.

In my personal opinion, if I had the choice between winning the title or doing the double over the Scousers, id glady take the 6 points against the enermy.
Yeah, alot of mancs say this. And then when we did the double over you with a 2-1 and 4-1 a couple of seasons ago it was "yeah well atleast we won the title!!1".

Anyway yeah I would go for this match up as the biggest rivalry. El Classico is up there, but personally I don't think the foreign games can match the passion and intensity of rivalries over here. Slightly biased maybe. (though to be fair I haven't personally been at any of the foreign games people are mentioning in this thread).

I don't remember that match, however if it's colors are dark blue and yellow(Fenerbahçe's colors), it's pretty possible. Other than that, I don't think they are serious. I only remember one event ended up with a death, and it was in 2000, Euro Cup Semi Final Galatasaray vs Leeds Unites and two Leeds fans were killed. They hate Turks a lot, and I can't completely object why they do...

Well, it's 12 years ago;p The score was 3-3 in Turkey, 4-3 to us on aggregate:wub: It's way back when Carew played for us. The guy in my sig is a Vålerenga player, so our colours are red, white and blue.

Newcastle v Plymouth.

Thats one heated rivalry.

how old are you? I am just fifteen; but I know that those years weren't much bright for us... It was pretty much Galatasaray and Galatasaray.

Chester vs Wrexham - The Border Derby.

It's basically England vs Wales and the quality of football is just incredible :P

I am 23, so I was 11, but I remember it very well! And here it is! [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMXcpGn8gvs&feature=related"]YouTube- Besiktas 3 - 3 Valerenga IF 05/11/1998[/ame]

England - Portsmouth v Southampton
Abroad - Ajax v Feyenoord

Never been to El Clasico. Been to L'pool-United, L'pool-Everton, Olympiacos-AEK, Fenerbahce-Galatasaray and Inter-AC.

For me the best one was United V Liverpool simply because it held more meaning than watching 2 foreign teams battle it out. However the ones abroad, especially the Turkish one were the scariest.
