Bin Hammam, who was due to face the ethics commitee, and was standing against Sepp Blatter for leadership of FIFA, has dramatically withdrawn from the race in the past few minutes.

Well isn't that a surprise. This really is a complete joke. Blatter once more stays leader of FIFA. There is something very smelly that has just happened recently for him to withdraw I suspect. But whatever has happened, the circus that has become FIFA has become much more unamusing.

wow, this is quite incredible and just proves that FIFA is nothing more than a 'Joke' Organisation
 
Anyone else think the major European footballing nations have had enough of this? I'll bet major visible cracks start to appear on the surface of FIFA not within, and they'll simply (albeit hopefully) say "enough is enough". If I'm not mistaken a few nations have said before they're deeply unhappy with what goes on, and would be prepared to join England in breaking away. Can't remember who it was though-not sure if it included Germany

Surely he's pretty much admitting to corruption now? Blatter will continue controlling his corrupt organization, we'll have a world cup in one of the most inappropriate countries & nothing vaguely useful will get done.

And everyone should also know all of Fifa is corrupt as its the only way to win elections in fifa is to bribe, whether that be to the commitee or for the presidency.

Got to love that statement just for it's comedy value. And the fact that World Cup tickets that were being sold by touts during the last world cup, came from FIFA pockets, is absolutely no surprise whatsoever. But I'm not expecting anything whatsoever, to come out of this "investigation". Facesaver, nothing more.

So Blatter conveniently gets rid of his only real competitor for the presidency shortly before the elections. Blatter bribed his way in, now he's forcing out his competitors through yet more corruption. Qatar are clearly corrupt, but hypocrisy is rife in FIFA.
 
Interesting update on this-and no real surprise. Warner and Hamman both suspended by FIFA and Septic Bladder will not be investigated by FIFA. Sigh. Unfortunately I was right on this one. Not much more can be said.
 
Can we say FIFA is corrupt one more time? Makes me feel better.
 
FIFA has been corrupt ever since Blatter became the chairman. So, until Blatter eventually dies, FIFA will continue to be corrupt, as the old ****** won't give up until he dies.
