Before I start off I'd like to give a special shout out to my dawg Mr.T, He showed me this site and the structure may be similar to his thanks :). And also please feel free to comment and tell me what you think and what could be improved.

Hello and welcome to my story of attempting to try and turn a current Birmingham City team into world dominators, I have previously done this with Man City but sadly I was not a member of Fm-Base..... So here I go and I hope you enjoy :)

To start off with I decided to make my aims minimal at only mid table, this is because i felt that my team was not as strong as i think it will be come next summer. I have been given £40 Million to spend and 375K on wages.

Birmingham City Official Press Conference:

You sit here as the new manager of Birmingham. Is this your dream job?

I am pleased to have the chance to work here, Birmingham have a lot of potential.

What is your overall approach to the tactical side of the game?

I prefer to play an attractive, attacking style of play

How involved do you intend to be in the day-to-day running of the club?

I will be involved here and there but my staff will be handling a lot of things

Would you agree with the assessment that you already have an idea of which players you like and those that you aren't so happy with?

Everyone will get a chance to show what they can do

Your response suggest you have confidence in your players. What do you consider to be your strongest area of your team?

I am fully confident that all areas of the team are strong and up for the challenge

You have taken charge of Birmingham at a time when it is expected that James McFadden may well be leaving the club. What are the Chances of keeping him around?

I definitely want to keep James here

End

My first two signings were coaches Steve Gatting and Brian Eastick. Stay locked on to this page to find out how my pre-season went.

Pre Season

My pre season went pretty well with me winning 5 out of the 6 games here is how they went:
4-1(h) Birmingham Reserves
2-3(a) Dundee United
5-0(a) Darlington
7-0(a) Yeovil
5-1(a) Charlton
3-0(a) Portadown
The loss to Darlington didnt really put me down i had faith in my team and knowing transfers were on their way. My transfers will be up shortly a few surprises too :)

End of August Report

The end of the transfer window!
During that period i signed the following:
Milan Baros (Galatasary, Record Signing) - £10 Million
Anthony Annan (Rosenborg) - £5 Million
Mark Beevers (Sheff Wed) - £5.25 Million
Axel Witsel (Standard) - £7.75 Million
Jonjo Shelvey (Charlton) - £5 Million
I was pretty happy with my summer activity but I felt that I could have done with a winger, I was on the verge of signing Sergio Garcia (Betis) but I cancelled due to lack of funds and also I had opted to get Shelvey and Witsel. I, in some ways regret this decision because I felt that they were a bit over priced and I was in dying need of another winger. But thanks to the versatility of witsel I transformed him into one Shelvey is also in the process of becoming one. I signed Mark Beevers because I needed that extra backup in defence just in case and Anthony Annan will come and help bring in some (African) power lol into my central midfield. Baros was my shock buy I felt that my fire-power up front was a bit weak so I went in for the kill.

Results:
Birmingham 0-2 Fulham (h)
Bobby Zamora (55), Zoltan Gera (71)

Birmingham0-0 Wolves (h)

Portsmouth 1-2 Birmingham (a)

Roger Johnson (6, 44); Tommy Rowe (32)

Manchester United 1-0 Birmingham (a)
Wayne Rooney (76)

Premier League Position : 16th

My first five matches went OK I would have preferred a draw to Fulham but a poor display prevented that. Post the Fulham game came the wolves game and we still seemed to have some sort of hangover from that game. I then went 2 games unbeaten with a spirited win at Portsmouth and then a somewhat routine win at Peterborough, then came a great display at united in a game which I felt merited a point at least. Overall not too bad but could have been better.

Wow a miserable month there was a point where I just felt like quitting but I stuck in there. I think the reason I had such poor results was the fact that I was constantly Changing formations so my team did not have enough time to settle under just one. Furthermore it was frustrating at the fact that all my games (apart from Liverpool) were games I felt we Played well in but couldn't keep the lead. I had a couple of games where I faced some last minute despair and those were my worst moments hopefully next month will take a turn for the best. I remain optimistic

A Good month considering the last one was poor! We have gone 3 games unbeaten now my team are starting to gel and I now have a permanent formation everything looks to be on the up. We are still hovering over relegation but hopefully our current form will continue and we move further and further up. Premier League watch out! Birmingham have woken up.

Alright so maybe this wasn't the best of months points wise but when you look at the fixtures, I was pretty pleased. The Chelsea result really put a smile on my face I was ecstatic! I hoped the confidence boost will help us in the city game but Carlos Tevez proved too strong, scoring all four. Then once again our team blew a two goal lead but managed to hold out for a draw. The form of Christian Benitez this month has been a real positive maybe Baros could learn from him lol.

A pretty inconsistent month with a memorable victory at arsenal then a somewhat humiliating defeat at wolves. We started the month off a good run of good performances then we lose the next 3 albeit narrowly. Then came the fantastic win against arsenal in St. Andrews. Everything about that performance was perfect, from goalkeeper to attackers we were immense. After that came wolves in which (as we have experienced before) a some sort of hangover unto this game... We lost 4-0 :( . After this game though came a run of two convincing consecutive victories, it seems like at last my team are getting runs together. Stay tuned for the January Report.

Amazing win vs Arsenal, and also a fantastic win at Fulham. Good read and a nice and easy reading layout, keep it up.

Good story I'm planning on following. Are you going to buy in January? If so I'd reccomend a focus on youth. Cheap youth will really help in the years to come.

*Jaw drop at Arsenal score*
Great work mate, keep at it

Nah i dont think im gonna be making any signings in january i have limited funds and Jamie F I know i was shocked myself

Another decent month. We are through in the FA cup to face Sheffield United in the next round and some good results in the league. I faced a scare in going out in the early staged to Plymouth but thankfully Parnaby equalised and took us to a replay. Then came another good performance against Manchester United but once again we lost. After that we went on to a four match unbeaten run, beating wolves (revenge) and drawing 3 consecutive league games including a 2-2 draw against champions league hopefuls Liverpool in which former player Milan Baros scored. We felt hard done by with draws against Bolton and Wigan but that's just our "luck" this season.

A great month overall despite the injuries to my two main right wingers, Larsson (4 weeks) and Bowyer (2 Months). 5 wins out of 6 and the 1 game I lost Stoke's Goalkeeper Begovic was on top form. A memorable win at Tottenham was my highlight as we came from behind to win away from home. These results have left me with 40 points overall in the league and that has been proven statistically to be the safety point, so now I'm looking up on the table and maybe a breakthrough in the top 10 although the gap is pretty big. I also came third in manager of the month and Axel Witsel claimed young player of the month, while Liam Ridgewell also came third in player of the month.

Results wise march was a disappointment, with me only recording just the one win, and also being humiliated (again) by Man City. I managed to take Arsenal to an FA Cup quarter final replay but then fell to a 2-0 loss, after the Man City game I found out that my two star strikers, Baros and Benitez were BOTH INJURED for 2-3 weeks!, This was disastrous because if I had any chance of going into the next round of the FA Cup I would surely need them and the result showed just how much we missed them. I did however manage to beat Blackburn as a consolation for the month, I'm now only 6 points off from 4th with a game in hand.

Final Premier League Position: 12th

Last few games were not the best but I'm guessing my players were fatigued after a hard worked season in the end I finished 12th and I think that that is mid table so I achieved my goal. Although i did not win any of the last games I think my team did give very good performances and hopefully next year we will be showing more of them.

End of Season Review

My Player of the year: Roger Johnson because he has has been forever present at the heart of our defence, and to think I was going to sell him at the start of the season...phew!

Fans Player of the year: Roger Johnson

Surprise Player of the year: Stuart Parnaby...Another player i was on the verge of selling then had a last minute change of mind, has helped his fair share with goals and very consistent

Best Signing of the year: Anthony Annan...Despite his disciplinary record (18 yellows 1 red) he has really put the stregnth i required into the midfield, a really good year lets improve on it next year

Opinion on final league position: I feel that 12th was a good position considering I came in this season and I haven't really got the team I want around me just yet, we had a strong 2 months come the turn of the year and that was the important thing.

Opinion on domestic competitions: Quarter finals of the FA Cup and second round of League Cup. One was really good while the other could have easily been much better but we went out at a time I was experimenting

Oh my days sorry for the unprofessional behaviour but I swear down I did not know the fans were going to pick him, I chose him before they did :O :)
