BREAKING NEWS

It has today been announced that Birmingham City manager Alex McLeish has resigned from his post at the club due to family circumstances.

Lifelong Blues fan Shane Ireland was given the job just hours after the Scotsman resigned.
The new manager said, "It's an absolute dream come true to be manager of this great club. I know I'm unknown in the professional football world but the fantastic fans of this club can be confident of Premier League survival and maybe even a top 8 finish in the Premier League. Keep Right On"

The new boss has been optimistic in his Premier League expectations this season. He has promised the board continental qualification so the squad will most definitely need strengthening in the pre-season.
To achieve this position the board have given Ireland a transfer budget of just over £20mil and an initial wage budget of 550k.
