breaking news
today it has been revealed that the successor to alex mcleash will be the local lad Tom Whitson tom who was a big part in the england team wich got to the quater finals of the world cup in 2006 but was unfortunately knocked out by a strong portugal side. And after a whyle of settling down he is ready to get back into football with birmingham city. Tom is well known around st andrews and will surely have the backing of the fans and board. In the interview with tom the manager said that he is delighted with the finances of the club and the steadyness of the team but the team needs just that little push to make them world class. he has told the board that they should expect him to achieve a top half finish. There is definitely no shortage of confidence inside that young lad and will be looking to see how his side gets on in a league that is expected to prrove quite a challenge.

transfers
anthony annan- £2.2m

roque santa cruz- Ln fee £120k

alex smithies- £750k

senijad ibricic- £3.8m

jordan spence- £3m

nathan clyne- £2m

transfer overview
i didnt want to sign too many players as it might dissrupt the harmony in the dressing room and the fees they all came in for was all amazing also i brought in santa cruz in for a loan as i thought we needed some more firepower and it was on loan because we didn't want to pay all of the 70k per week wages as that would mean the players may get gealous and want wages like that, at the moment we are looking for the move to be made permanent considering on how he does this season.

next update on pre- season coming tomorow please post on anything from tranfers to layout

most results were great apart from the 0-0 draw with torquay wich we completely dominated but just couldn't put the ball in the back of the net and the barnet game wich somehow we got dominated and got a couple of goals wich stopped us going back to birmingham in shame. BRING ON THE PREM!!

very poor start to the season and will need to pick up with performances if we're going to reach that top 10 finish but the players showed great potential when playing against stoke and mk dons so they definitely can do its just getting them to do it consistently

is anyone actually following this ????

september
epl: blackburn vs birmingham- 1-1 S. larsson (74)
epl: wigan vs birmingham- 0-1 S. larsson (56)
L.C: birmingham vs
oldham- 3-1 santa cruz (18,33)
S. larsson (27)
epl: birmingham vs man city- 1-2 B. ferguson (48)

overall a fairly average results apart from the one dissapointing one against blackburn as we was in control for most of the game but the man city one was always coming after being dominated for most of the game but larsson and fergie have been in top form and will have to look at the strikers goal scoring charts as only santa cruz has scored and that was against oldham.

october
epl: liverpool vs birmingham- 0-1 B. ferguson (67)
epl: birmingham vs chelsea- 0-1
epl: blackpool vs birmingham- 0-0
L.C: peterborough vs birmingham- 1-0
epl: wolves vs birmingham- 0-0

a very poor month with us being knocked out of the cup and beaten by rock bottom blackpool the only high was the spirited win against an out of form liverpool side wich we was expected to beat really going to have to improve performances if were even going to stay up let alone top half.

november
epl: birmingham vs west ham- 0-2
epl: birmingham vs sunderland- 1-1 A. annan (41)
epl: arsenal vs birmingham- 3-0
epl: birmingham vs villa- 0-0
epl: bolton vs birmingham- 1-1 michel (45)

extremely dissapointing month without picking up a win against teams we should have beat apart from arsenal again no goals from strikers will be looking at some in january.

december
epl: birmingham vs man utd- 0-0
epl: everton vs birmingham- 1-1 roger johnson (33)
epl: birmingham vs fulham- 2-1 S. larsson (9) B. ferguson (22)
epl: west brom vs birmingham- 2-1 jara og (62)
epl: stoke vs birmingham- 3-2 mcfadden (35) santa cruz (54)

finally the strikers have scored in the premier league and now i really need them to kick on, we havent got alot of money to spend in january but have a couple of fresh faces coming in.

blues bring in duo

giannis okkas- 725k
magical midfielder who can also play up front will fit in well with the squad

olivier kapo- 2m
the french winger is back for a second shot at birmingham city with tom's new tactics he will settle in fairly well says the boss
currently looking at a couple of strikers to bring in but will cost most of the budjet but have great goal scoring records this season one is youthfull and one a little more experienced but both great!!

please post on who you think they are
andy carrol
bogdan stacu
martin palermo
humberto suazo
machael owen

ill have a look at him thanks for that.
