Bit of guidence please

can you point me in the direction of where it tells me how to download stuff and put it in the game. e.g genie scout and facepacks.

Go to add ons at the top of the screen mate and you will find what you need there

Facepacks, kits and other graphics need to be extracted into:
My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2011\graphics

You can organise your graphics as you see fit with folders, just be sure the associated config.xml is in the folder.

Then in game, make sure that 'Use skin cache' is unticked and 'Reload skin on confirm' is ticked in Prefrences > Display & Sound.

As for Genie scout, it is a stand alone program so you will just have to install it like any other program.

I have 2 fm files, one in my documents and one in the sports interactive folder.

My saved game seems to be in the my documents folder but there is no config :S.

you don't need a config file in the saved game folder, the folder you use for facepacks,kits an logos is the sports interactive folder in your my documents all you do is extract them to the correct folder i'll put a few screenshots of mine
