I disagree, to be the best as a defender I would be looking for 20s in Tackling and Marking especially, not to mention some others.

He's 20, as it says on the tips, defenders dont peak until their 30's. Still a long way to go lol. He cant be that bad if I just turned down £40mill of Real Madrid for him!

what are regens?

a regen is a player the computer has created to keep the game going they all have those cartoon faces, regens are never real and are different abilities and names on every new game.
