BREAKING NEWS: Blackpool sack under-pressure Holloway and replace him with virtual unknown Sunday-league footballer Matthew Timms
Timms had this to say on his appointment: 'As soon as i knew the job was available i just had to apply, the board seemed happy with my credentials i've mastermined Duff Mivers FC to 5 consecutive Sunday-league titles on a shoestring budget and hope i can reproduce this success with Blackpool'.
Although fans seem upset and bemused at this appointment the board have assured fans Timms is the right man for the job.
As soon as he entered the managers office Timms was immediately throwing his weight around making some big decisions straight away getting on the dog and bone to his old pal Sol Campbell over a possible move out of exile to join his Blackpool revolution.
Timms has made the following players his potential transfer targets:
Sol Campbell (Free Agent)
Jamel Art Ben Idir (Harve AC)
Darren Gibson (Man Utd Loan)
Federicho Macheda (Man Utd Loan)
So the next chapter in Blackpools' history has begun under the stewardship of manager Matthew Timms, lets see if he can silence his critics and see just how far the seasiders can fly!
