Gonzalez-Blanco strikes deal with new team, but who?

View attachment 432471
Borussia Dortmund

I'm delighted to have struck a deal with such a magnificent club. Even for Dortmund to take a look at me was admiring, compared to my last job it's a huge step up and I feel like I'm at the best club in the world with the best fans in the world. I remember coming to watch games where Dortmund fans would just scare the living daylights out of their opponents.
I will bring attacking, passing and pressing football to Dortmund and I will promise to keep big players from signing from rival teams. Together if we can work it right we can create a very, very strong force.

These transfers are of the highest quality, the first three was already coming in before I took over Dortmund. Nevertheless, the quality is welcome and competition for places is beyond believable and players will have to be on top of their game should they want to hold a regular first team place this year.

I would have like to have kept the first two but they was sold before I arrived, but we are overloaded with quality in the centre of the park and Leitner is one for the future and will welcome the first team football at Leverkusen and this will aid his development as a player. Pizzaro heads back to Juventus for a 200k loan fee per month plus regular football, if he has a successful loan spell then we may see if he can make the step into the team.

Pre-Season Results:

Dortmund 2 - 0 Feyenoord
Hofmann (72'), Bender (88')

Portland 1 - 3 Dortmund
Roth (80', 84'), Piszczek (88')

Real Salt Lake 1 - 3 Dortmund
Hummels (37'), Lukaku (68'), Mkhitaryan (73')

Dortmund 3 - 3 Sporting Lisbon
Papastathopoulos (32'), Reus (67'), Hummel (77')

Parma 1 - 1 Dortmund
Hummels (26')

Undefeated pre-season and some real class players we have at our disposal. We will be looking to win the league this year and I believe that we will have a great chance of progressing in Europe.

Welcome to the Singal Iduna Park.

German Cup First Round
Sunday 2nd August 2015

Willi Knapp-Sportlage

Zirndorf 1 - 5 Dortmund
O.G. (8'), Mkhitaryan (20', 48'), Aubameyang (72'), Grobkreutz (85')

MOTM: Henrikh Mkhitaryan

A routine win in the first round of the cup. A nice win to get me underway as manager and some very pleasing stuff on display today. Henrikh controlled the game and finished with two goals and two assists which was a very good individual performance from him.

German Cup Second Round draw:
Dortmund v Dusseldorf

Bundesliga
Saturday 8th August 2015

Imtech Arena

Hamburg 0 - 6 Dortmund
Subotic (5'), Lukaku (15', 38', 41'), Mkhitaryan (22'), Hummels (71')

MOTM: Romelu Lukaku

Clinical. What a fantastic and utterly destructive performance to start off the league, the best performance I've ever witnessed as my time during a manager. We could have ended up in double figures the way we played. Romelu goes home with a matchball and I hope it is the first of many for him.

Bundesliga
Saturday 15th August 2015

Signal Iduna Park

Dortmund 4 - 1 Nurnberg
Lukaku (15'), Reus (20'), O.G. (22'), Bender (62')

MOTM: Lukasz Piszczek

I was welcomed by the world renowned fans and the famous Yellow Wall of Dortmund. Nurnberg looked frightened to death when they stepped out that tunnel and within that we struck them for three goals in 25 minutes. We basically sealed the game in the first half.. Another excellent performance.

Bundesliga
Saturday 22nd August 2015

Signal Iduna Park

Dortmund 4 - 0 Hoffenheim
Papastathopoulous (28'), Markovic (37'), Sahin (44'), Verratti (82')

MOTM: Marco Reus

8 Goals in two games at home, we are treating the fans and trying to give them back what they give to us, I can now see as a manager what an impact the fans make. The fans give the players extra energy and incentive to go out and make them proud. We have had an excellent start so far this season.

Bundesliga
Saturday 29th August 2015

Allianz Arena

FC Bayern 1 - 1 Dortmund
Mkhitaryan (21')

MOTM: Sokratis Papastathopoulous

I will take this result all day long away from home. Bayern are our main contenders for the title and to take a point from them at their place is excellent. We could of snatched it but the same could be said about Bayern. A draws a fair result.

Top stuff and what a team to find yourself at. Long term or short term stay? Keep up the great start. :)

I don't think he has it planned, he just joined. If it keeps working he might stay here for long term, just like managers fall in love with some clubs IRL.

Yes I know he's just joined, as I've been reading the story! Was just asking if he had made any plans, just like managers do in real life too! :)

My guess above is because of his previous story, he started in Liga Adelente and then got to West Brom, his aim was to reach RM but he stayed at WBA because he didn't want to leave his legacy and some special players and the club.. That's why. It's very hard to leave and see some manager come and destroy your dynasty.

Not really sure why you are explaining all this, I know and understand everything you've said, plus I've been a huge follower of his and have seen how his stories have gone!! All I've asked is IF he had any plan in mind and as yet there's no indication, so thought I'd get in there first!! :S

We admire our fans support after they have been excellent this season for us.

Bundesliga
Saturday 12th September 2015

Signal Iduna Park

Dortmund 2 - 1 Wolfsburg
Hummels (25'), Lukaku (37')

A tough match today against sturn opponents Wolfsburg, they was switched on from the whistle and gave us an enthrilling encounter. Nevertheless we put up a good fight and our quality shone through which we received three points from.

Champions League Group Stage
Wednesday 16th September 2015

Signal Iduna Park

Dortmund 2 - 0 Levski Sofia
Markovic (41'), Reus (66')

MOTM: Lazar Markovic

A routine win and we wasn't even threatened, we didn't allow Levski a shot at goal all night. I was extremely pleased with the movement and passing ability of the players today. We played some very intricate stuff and could of added more goals to our tally.

Bundesliga
Saturday 19th September 2015

Fritz-Walter-Stadion

Kaiserslautern 2 - 2 Dortmund
Markovic (26'), Reus (77')

MOTM:
Richard Sukuta-Pasu

Kaiserslautern scored with their only two shots on target. I cannot fault the lads as we dominated in just about every area. We are still undefeated in the league though and staying in the pack. We have done ourselves no shame.

German Cup Second Round
Wedensday 23rd September 2015

Signal Iduna Park

Dortmund 1 - 0 Dusseldorf
Markovic (55')

MOTM: Lazar Markovic

With it being the cup I thought I'd give some players who are on the edge of the team and substitutes a chance to show me why they should be in the first team. Another solid display along with a clean sheet and a pass to the next round of the cup.

Bundesliga
Saturday 26th September 2015

Signal Iduna Park

Dortmund 2 - 0 Leverkusen
Subotic (45'), Lazovic (80')

MOTM: Neven Subotic

A performance of a team of the highest quality. The spine of the team was like a supporting beam today, always there for their partner backing them up, that's only one of the reasons we kept a clean sheet. A goal on the stroke of half-time let us go into the break with a lead which made my team talk alot easier. It also tops off a undefeated month in the league for us.

Champions League Group Stage
Tuesday 29th September 2015

Santiago Bernabau

Real Madrid 2 - 3 Dortmund
Reus (2'), Markovic (57'), Lukaku (87')

MOTM:
Romelu Lukaku

Wow. This shows our capabilities this season, as we all know the famous victory in the semi-final of the Champions League when Robert Lewandowski scored 4. We upset the odds today with an away win and a table topping performance. We will lead the group until our next game.

The best fans in the world by a clear mile.

Bundesliga
Sunday 4th October 2015

Weserstadion

Werder Bremen 2 - 4 Dortmund
Lukaku (38'), Reus (72'), Mkhitaryan (81', 83')

MOTM: Henrikh Mkhitaryan

A six goal enthrilling encounter today. With Dortmund, I know if we concede we can always outscore the opponent. It is not my style of play but in some cases, it is what you have to settle for. Four goals away from home is excellent and another away win.

Bundesliga
Saturday 17th October 2014

Signal Iduna Park

Dortmund 2 - 0 Dusseldorf
Piszczek (23'), Gundogan (69')

MOTM: Lukasz Piszczek

Went one goal better against Dusseldorf than we did in the cup, a clean sheet also went with a good a good defensive display this evening. Goals are coming from every area of the pitch. We still are unbeaten in the league and show no signs of letting up just yet.

Champions League Group Stage
Tuesday 20th October 2015

Signal Iduna Park

Dortmund 3 - 1 Anderlecht
Grobkreutz (48', 51'), Gundogan (68')

MOTM: Kevin Grobkreutz

We ran out victorious against Belgium opposition today and it made it nine points out of nine in the Champions League. Kevin Grobkreutz caught the eye when he was given the chance today, the utility man grabbed a brace and earned himself a spot in the next starting XI.

Bundesliga
Saturday 24th October 2015

Trolli Arena

Furth 1 - 3 Dortmund
Mkhitaryan (24', 68'), Subotic (27')

MOTM: Henrikh Mkhitaryan

10 games into the season we remain unbeaten and another heroic performance, we already have a 7 point gap on favorites Bayern although I'm not counting the chickens yet. They have just beaten us to the signing of German favorite Mesut Ozil from Arsenal who would have improved the squad even further for us.

Bundesliga
Friday 30th October 2015

Signal Iduna Park

Dortmund 3 - 0 Schalke
O.G. (24'), Mkhitaryan (50'), Veratti (90')

MOTM: Mats Hummels

The captain rallied the troops today in our title clash with top of the table Schalke. We run the game for 90 minutes, all the press hyped up Schalkes ability to hurt us at the back but they didn't muster a single shot on target compared to our 13. Another month undefeated and we are only growing stronger.

Champions League Group Stage
Wednesday 4th November 2015

Stade Constant Vanden Stock

Anderlecht 1 - 3 Dortmund
Lukaku (7'), Bender (47'), Mkhitaryan (78')

MOTM: Lazar Markovic

This seals our qualification through to the knockout stages, an early goal gave us more confident and got Anderlecht to come at us more, which resulted in us getting another 2 goals on the counter.

Bundesliga
Saturday 7th November 2015

Coface-Arena

Mainz 0 - 5 Dortmund
O.G. (32'), Reus (74', 81', 82'), Verratti (87')

MOTM: Marco Reus

The standout performer today; Marco Reus. He ran the show with a hat-trick and a assist, a true Dortmund legend at the age of 26 he still has so much more to offer the club. A five goal demolition away from home carries on our unbeaten record.

Bundesliga
Saturday 21st November 2015

Signal Iduna Park

Dortmund 4 - 0 Freiburg
Lukaku (18', 57'), O.G. (23'), Aubameyang (67')

MOTM: Romelu Lukaku

72% possession and 11 shots on target is only one of the reasons for the scoreline. We secured another massive scoreline which saw us smash in nine goals in two games and two clean sheets in the process.

Champions League Group Stage
Tuesday 24th November 2015

Georgi Asparuhov

Levski Sofia 0 - 2 Dortmund
Mkhitaryan (41'), Lukaku (80')

MOTM: Kevin Grobkreutz

A rotated was used today in areas but although we won a torn hamstring to Marco Reus was news that we just needed to hear. He's been in sensational form this year and been one of our best players this season.

Bundesliga
Saturday 28th November 2015

Eintracht-Stadion

Braunschweig 1 - 2 Dortmund
Grobkreutz (15'), Markovic (29')

MOTM: Lazar Markovic

A close shave today, but despite not being at our best we still won and in true champions fashion. Coming into December undefeated in every competition is something I could of only dreamed of before taking the job. But I want trophies; and plenty of them.
