Blue stars...

Sorry if this might be stupid guys but when you scout a young player at times it give you their current ability in yellow but their potenial in blue... Does it mean that he will reach that potential or is might reac it? Why is it in blue please? As I have signed some decent youngsters but they are all in blue. Last thing, when does it change to yellow and thanks a million!

No let me explain myself better.

You have a young player and you scout him. So you get his Ability in stars and his Potential in stars. The Ability has for example is 1yellow star out of 5, while the potential is 4.5 BLUE stars out of 5. What does the blue mean? As if I scout an older player his abilty is yellow too.

The silver stars are youth ratings. He is being compared to your youth players.

I believe the star ratings only turn gold when a player is deemed good enough to be/become a senior player.

So if I give one of my youths a contract or buy him he will have yellow stars please?
