Blyth Spartans : The True Story

good luck mate. seems like a good team to manage and after pompey i will start to manager low league football like you :)
 
Afc Telford 4 - 3 Blyth Spartans ( Brackstone, Gillies, Dale )
What a game to start off a new season. A 40 yard freekick from John Brackstone gave the visitors the lead. Andy Brown scores to make it 1 all. Andy Brown scores his second of the game on the 33rd minute. Blyth give away a silly penetly away and Andy Brown steps up to score a 1st half hatrick and make Telford winning at halftime 3 - 1. Josh Gillies is brought on and is an imedite effect by scoring on his debut for Blyth and making it 3 - 2. Steven Harrison gets a straight red for going into a tackle with two feet up. 4 minutes later Andy Brown gets his and Telford's 4th of the game to make it 4 - 2 to Telford. Robbie Dale then steals the ball off Telfords keeper and smacks into an open goal to make it 4 - 3 and it stayed at that until the fulltime whistle. Just over 3,000 fans went to see this game at The New Bucks Head and its a game they wont forget! Unlucky for Blyth though

Blyth Spartans 2 - 1 Southport ( Dale 2 )
788 people can to Blyth to watch Spartans play there first home game of the new season. Robbie Dale opens the scoring on the 6th minute passes past the routed keeper. He gets his second on the 39th minute to make it 2 - 0 to Blyth. Southport hit back in the second half after a goal from Ciaran Kilheeney but Southport couldnt get past a solid Blyth defence and a good 3 points for Blyth.

Blyth Spartans 1 - 0 Redditch ( O.G )
Poor game overall but an unlucky own goal from Redditch's David Graydon gave Blyth a win which they didnt evan deserve. Blyth get another 3 points on the table.

Farsley Celtic 5 - 0 Blyth Spartans
It shows that i doesnt matter where you are in the league you can pull off suprises and thats what Farsley have done. A hatrick from Gareth Grant, Simeon Bambrook and Roy Stamer finish the scoring as Blyth are well and truely hammered!


Blyth Spartans 0 - 0 Corby
A good game for Blyth but its the third game in a row where a Blyth player hasnt scored a goal. This could be wurring times for Michael Soulsby. But a point each is the best estimated from each set of supporters.

Hyde United 2 - 1 Blyth Spartans ( Alexander )
A poor game overall but Blyth have found there shooting boots again. John Alexander opens the scoring on the 13th minute for Blyth. Nathan Arnold equilized for Hyde on the 43rd minute with a header into the bottom corner. Halftime passes and Hyde coe out the better side as Daniel Douglas-Pringle smacks into the corner of the Blyth net. Another defeat for Spartans.


Blyth Spartans 2 - 1 Droylsden ( Brackstone, Wiiliams )
A lovley freekick from John Brackstone as Blyth take an early 6 minute lead. Tony Grey equilzed in added time of the first half as the teams go in for a draw. Gareth Williams had but his shooting boots on at halftime after taking 12 shots before he scored. 65th minute makes it 2 - 1 To Blyth as they win there league game this weekend.



Eastwood 3 - 1 Blyth Spartans ( Doninger )
Blyth cant seem to win away from home this year. Blyth did take an early lead from Mark Doninger shot. Ian Holmes equilized for Eastwood on the 43rd minute. Just after halftime Paris Simmons scores a beautiful goal againest a sleeply Blyth defence. He gets his second goal of the game just 3 minutes later. Blkyth have another defeat whichthey could have won.

Vauxhall 0 - 0 Blyth Spartans
Poor game overall. The only major event in the game was when Kenny Boyle got sent off for Blyth. A point each on the table though. Only 83 people attended the game XD

Blyth Spartans 2 - 0 Solihull Moors ( Reay, Alexander )
Shaun Reay is recalled from his loan at Shildon for his first game of the season and its a good one by scoring. Good game :)

Gloucester 1 - 1 Blyth Spartans ( Alexander )
Not the best of games but it had its fair share. Goals from both sides as Blyth get another draw which they could have won or lost.

Fa Cup is back ! 2nd qualifier Round
Blyth have been given a tricky away draw at Afc Hornchurch. They are in the southern league of England. The game will be played on the 26th September.

AFC Hornchurch 2 - 3 Blyth ( Echanomi,Craddock,Dale ) Fa Cup
What a fab game. Blyth only just go through but it could have been another story but Robert Dale made sure that it wasnt. Blyth are in the next draw.

Blyth 1 - 1 Alfreton ( Reay ) BSN
Good game in the making but not the best that has happened at Croft Park. Good result for Blyth as Alfreton winning streak of 11 has came to an end.

FA Cup 3rd quali. Round Draw
Blyth get a home game to a team called Leyton who beat Hendon in the 2nd round 3 - 2. Blyth won againest AFC Hornchurch to get here. The game will be played on 10th October.

 
Good fa cup win, and nice to see Reay back in the squad, if your looking for a new striker try Scartiscini he is from argentina and doesn't speak English but finds the net nearly every game!

Blyth Spartans 2 - 0 Leyton ( McCabe, Webster )
Blyth are through to the next round as they beat a struggling Leyton side. They didnt really cause any worries as Blyth coasted past them. They should have scored more.

Blyth Spartans 5 - 1 Hinckley ( Reay 4, Forster )
Shaun reay steals the limelight this game as Blyth hammer a higher positioned Hinkcley. The best attacking premorance ive seen this season so far.
 
Very good result against Hinckley. keep going mate :)
 
Fa Cup 4th Qual. Rnd Draw
Blyth have been givan a very tricky away trip to Blue Square Premier Eastbourne Borough. Blyth recently beat Layton to get this far. Eastbourne have lost there last 5 games in there league.


Eastbourne Borough 0 - 3 Blyth ( Echanomi 2, Homes )FA
Blyth are through to the 1st round proper for the second time in 2 years. 20 seconds it took Blyth to take the lead and they dominated from then on. Fantastic result againest a high leagued team :P


Stalybridge 2 - 2 Blyth Spartans ( Echanomi, Homes)BSN
A draw was always going to be the predicted score and that is what has came out of this game. Stalybridges postion in the league doesnt say they re a rubbish side because they arn't.


Fa Cup 1st Rnd. Proper Draw
Blyth have been givan a fantastic away draw to league 1 's Huddersfield. Hopefully Blyth wont get beaten by to much! Good luck to them.
 
Well done on reaching the fa cup 1st, where abouts are you in the league? Fantastic result against hinckly a bit like in real life, it also made up for your farsley result! KUTGW
 
I will do a screenshot of the latest league table after the next game which is againest Ilkeston. Hope we dont get beat as bad as real life !:@

Blyth Spartans 2 - 2 Ilkeston ( Brackstone, Webster )
Good game but a set back as Robert Dale goes off injured, Adie scores in the 84th minute to equilise for Spartans. Ilkeston are near the top of the league so iam happy with this result.

FA Trophy 3rd Qual. Rnd. Draw
Blyth have been drawn againest local team Workington. The game will be played at Croft Park on 21st November.

Northwich Victoria 4 - 2 Blyth (Echanomi, Turnbull )
poor game from the Spartans. Took the lead but Northwich are to much of a good team. They are one of the best teams in the league so result was predicted.

Huddersfield 5 - 0 Blyth Spartans Fa Cup
They are the hardest team to face in this round. Top of league 1 and there is only Blyth who arnt evan in the top half of there own league. Unlucky to see that Blyth are out of the cup for this year.

Blyth sign Argentinan Scartascini
Blyth have sign another new stricker on a free transfer. Hear what Soulsby says. " Leandro is a great football player and i hope that he mixes well with the squad".
 
nice story mate i love all the local teams im from birtley/gateshead :p but i love to follow blyth, i just started posting so u got ursel another fan mate keep up the good work :p
