Nobody got offered the Blackpool job? It's about when he was younger and got injured from playing for Blackpool.

6 months of ****.
My 6 months of dipping in and out of the Blackpool training camp really didn't help me state of mind. I knew this was only for the best, but i could see myself getting gradually bigger in weight and alot worse in fitness. In the last month of the training i shifted my mind back onto other training sessions, such as weights. Then gradually started my jogging again, and before the 6months has finished by date, i was already fit again.

Sitting down with the club.
The club did stick to there word. And they released me, but they still had confidence in me. They were trying to help me find a new club and get my playing career back on the road. I'd tried everywhere. I'd been to Crawley on trial. They said no. I did get a few yes's from the various clubs, but i told myself i'd never go below the conference, so obviously Tamworth was taking ten steps back.

Letting the playing career go.
This was one of the hardest decisions for me, i knew i was never good enough to get myself back on track. But i thought someone would take a gamble on me, it didn't turn out that way. I decided to take my coaching badges just incase i decidided i wanted to take myself into that route. I'd done the odd broadcast on Blackpool local radio commenting on the games. But i couldn't sit there and watch them anymore. Knowing that i could off still been out on that pitch making a living.

From then, to now.
Since being released from Blackpool, I'd be doing jobs here and there for my family, like window cleaning,decorating. It's all cash in hand stuff.

However being seperated from football for a while did have it's advantages, i'd spend my time doing what i wanted to do. I was still keeping fit, and out on the town looking for some lucky lady. Eventually i settled down with my now wife Sarah, she's the one thats kept me going through all this mess. She works as a fashion designer. 'typical womens job' i'd always say.

The Personal Life.
It was time for me and my wife to move. This pretty place in the midlands, always forget the name sometimes. 'Derby' thats the one. Apparently it's quite a pretty place. Better than Liverpool. Sarah had a job here, and i knew it was time for me to find a job here.

Back to the future.

2nd of July 2010;
10:30am
Monday.

Usually people are getting themselves up for work. I'm lay down in bed, whilst my wife rushes to get her make-up on for work. So i got back into my routine, i leaned over to the floor and grabbed the Sky remote. Channel 405. Oh whats this. Joe Cole linked with Liverpool.

Managerial Vacancies;
Bradford.
Tranmere.
Portsmouth.
Fulham.
Valladolid.

I'd always take a glance at that section on the right. I sat there and thought surely one of those would bring me in for a interview. I mean whats the worst that could happen? This was were Google finally came in handy for me. I typed in each club and got a link to there website.

Bradford - 0900 33 54 90
Tranmere - 0700 76 45 72
Portsmouth - 0600 76 89 49
Fulham - 0400 65 56 12
Valladolid - 0900 20 20 20

I jotted each club down onto my jotter. And decided to ring each one and see what the circumstances were. Just before my wife rushed out of the door i managed to squeeze in a quick word.

"Hey Love, how does a nice village in Spain sound to you, it's Valladolid. You'll love the fashion sence"

That was just a quick update, hope you enjoyed reading it. My next one will be the different calls with the clubs chairmans.

Keep following us both.

Monday, 20TH Of July.

Well, What can i say about the last week.. My xbox broke on Tuesday due the the dreaded 'Red Ring Of Death'. Wednesday, Thursday & Friday i just sat around the house looking at Old pictures and Newspapers of the days when i played for Salisbury. I can remember it all so clearly. Getting on the Bus to get to work due to me not having the money to get a car. Getting to work and parking in the Fan's car park. Walking into the Resection and talking to Jessica the Receptionist for a good Half hour, then Going to the Changing rooms to get changed, Then to start Training. We had to train on the Pitch due to being a Non-League team with not much money. On the weekends i had to work in ASDA to get some extra money, We didn't get payed alot at Salisbury, Even less at ASDA. i Stayed in a flat on my own. It had 4 Rooms; Bathroom, Kitchen, Bedroom and a Lounge area. The lounge had a Tiny TV, A sofa with holes in it, and a plant in the corner. Bedroom had a Bed and a Bedside table, And the Kitchen had normal Kitchen things.

Anyway, Back to the Football, I can still remember the day i got 'sacked'. We were playing away against Andover United, Our bitter rivals. I didn't score in that game, but i can remember i blocked a shot on the line in the first half. The game ended 3-1 to Andover, Meaning we went down and they went up. When we got back to the Stadium, i got asked to go to the Manager room by Jessica. When i got there, there was 3 People sitting behind a desk. One was the Chairman, One was the Manager and the other was the Director of Football. We had a long and hard chat about my future, and the final outcome was, I left the club by 'Mutual Consent'. On the way home, i cried non stop. When i got home, I just sat on the sofa motionless. I didn't eat for 5 days, I was so close to dying. That was the Year i got Arrested. First time i went outside the house in weeks, And i got arrested. Punching a guy in the face.. 'Assault' they call it. Was in prison for 1 year. Worst time of my life, And the boringness. Nothing like today prison's where you find TV's and The occasional Xbox lying around. It was just a cell with a bunk-bed in it, It sunk in there. I never want to go back there..

As soon as i got out. I had a shower at home, and went down to Safeways to get some food and bumped into a Beautiful girl. We got chatting and we went our separate ways. A couple of days later, i saw her again in the Woolworths buying some sweets. We got chatting again, and i asked her for a date. Obviously she accepted and we planned to meat at the Restaurant down my lane that night. When i got home i threw on my best suit, and went on my way. When i got there i saw her walking down the road. We went in and had a brilliant night. Who knew 20 Years later we'd got married and had 2 Kids. Shocking what could change in 20 years...
