First of all Roberto is very disappointed at what was happened today but stresses that he had no other choice given the position he was put in. Roberto does not want to go in to detail about what caused these actions to be taken. However he has said it was due to the fact that he and the chairman had different opinions on a certain topic. He would also like to say sorry to the WBA fans and wishes his successor all the best.

Firstly I am very disappointed that we have lost a manger of Roberto's quality and wish him all the best for his future. The circumstances that lead to Roberto's departure where as follows. West Ham Utd had made an offer of around 10 million for Graham Dorrans and both myself and the club director thought that this offer was far to great for a championship side to turn down and proposed to Roberto that we where strongly considering accepting the offer and Roberto took offensive to this has he believes he should have final say on any transfer activity and he felt that this is the way thongs would have continued. We understand where Roberto was coming from and can understand his decision to move on. I also wish to mention at this point that West Ham Utd have since withdrawn their offer for Dorrans as the transfer has been so controversial. We as a club must also move on and find a new young exciting manager that is going to take us back to the top flight. We will hope to announce Roberto's successor in the next couple of weeks.
