You don't need to break anything to be out for a substantial period of time. As Mike. said, could be ligament damage etc? Or maybe the wound is just that bad and he doesn't have super healing powers like Nani

Yeah I guess, but 6 months is a long time even for ligament damage..

Also, really reminded me of the Gerrard tackle in the FA Cup. Both players went in a bit rash, one player came out worse off and was correctly given the red card. Do feel sorry for the lad though.

6 months isnt long at all, you can out for upto 2 years with ligament damage

Not necessarily, Giovanni Moreno had torn knee ligaments not so long ago and will be out for 6-7 months, for instance.

Good to see that there's no afters and that he simply just wants to move on and get back to playing football as quick as he can
