Bored with fm 09, cant win

hi, ive just been reading these posts...ive posted on here once as im a complete FM novice (always played CM before)...i had two suggestions given to me
1/ play a small game with a big team to get used to the game, tactics etc
2/ pick any team, leave all the sliders in the middle, watch the games and edit the tactics accordingly

never one to play as a big team, i went for the latter and decided to pick my local (altho now defunct) team, fisher ath in the blue sq south league...still im having a nitemare...ive tried all sorts and still cant get anything near to half decent...i have noticed tho that, most of the time when i eventually score, its ruled offside, when im not...the other team score offside goals that are given...penalties it seems, nearly every game against me...their goalie plays like ray clemence, mine plays more like stingray...cud it be a glitch in the game, or am i and my team just that ****? lol

i read that bigwillis plays a short passing game...i play 4-4-2 long ball because my players attributes are ****, and didnt think theyd be able to play a short passing game, as most non league players are ****
any help guys?...im contemplating returning to CM...convince me to stick wiv it?

i have exactly that problem leboeuf. i'm everton in my first season, half way through, gone in-depth with all my tactics and opposition instructions on match day (blah blah) and i've gone for a mix of passing like arsenal with the good ole' everton grit + determination and does it work? no. i've tried switching formations (4-1-3-1-1, 4-2-2-2 etc) and adjusting tactics accordingly, nothing changes. i still keep getting them crappy decisions and crappy luck, and it does really take the fun out of the gamee. help leboeuf, then help me, pleaaase!

maybe fm 09 aint your kinda game why not try a game that is compatable with your low brain compacity such as fifa manager?
