AFC Bournemouth hire Sam Reynolds as their new manager!
A very small young squad for the new managers first managerial carreer. With no transfer budget and a small squad already Reynolds will need to dip into the free transfer market as well as the loan market in an attempt to build a bigger squad to challenge successfully in the league.
The new manager agrreed with assistant manager Jason Tindall that a friendly match agaisnt the Bournemouth Reserves would be beneficial to all concerned, as well as taking a look at the first team the match will give the opportunity for Reynolds to cast an eye over the reserve team to see if any of them could perhaps cut it at first team level.
Transfer embargo is enforced at AFC Bournemouth!
Reynolds now has no choice but to make full use of all the assets at the club, as the transfer embargo is in place until 1st February 2010, thats two full transfer windows.

In a very tightly contested match it was the first team that came out ahead, thanks to an 89th minute winner from Warren Cummings. Mark Molesley bossed the midfield and earned himself the man of the match award.

In the League Cup first round draw Bournemouth land an away trip to Championship side West Bromwich Albion.
Bournemouth 1 - 3 Southampton
Tom Strong - Rickie Lambert, Lee Holmes, Chris Perry
Bournemouth failed to cause an upset and were up agaisnt it from the outset, with Lambert scoring in the second minute. On a positive young striker Tom Strong managed to get himself a goal.
Free signing - Izet Zahirovic - striker - 19 - Bosnia and Herzegovina national
Fleetwood 0 - 2 Bournemouth
Brett Pitman, Izet Zahirovic
In what was predicted as an easy game the first team managed to perform on the pitch, in a display of near total domination from start to end. Pleasing to see the new signing get on the scoresheet, here's to hoping he continues to do so throughout the season.
Marvin Bartley moves out to Oxford for £20,000.

In what was a poor performance from Bournemouth they came away with a loss to go with the performance. Things certainly need to improve for the new season.

Bournemouth's display was a joy to behold, controling the flow of play from the start to the very end. Good to see that the strikers are getting some scoring practice in before the new season.

A - Bristol Rovers - W 2-1
Mix and match pre season, ultimatly ended in a victory. League campaign is up and coming, should be interesting to see how this goes.
League 2:
Only 15 first team players availiable for selection. Under 18 players called up - Shane Murphy, Danny Ings, Luke Burbridge

A LC Vs WBA - L 0-4
