Box-to-Box Midfielders?

i disagree with senna and moutinho, theyre more deep lying playmakers
 
Milner is a box to box midfielder i did a mess around season with villa and finished 3rd when playing with my mate, 4-4-2 using Milner and Anthony Annan aka Makalele =) as a ball winning midfielder.
If your going for a flat 4-4-2 you will need the above two roles, evident irl and on FM!
 
I disagree that Senna is a deep lying playmaker :S He might be getting on a bit but he can still capably fulfil the box to box roll. He played in a box to box role in Euro 2008 and was a massive player for Spain. He has all the stats to play well there but his age can be a put off for such a dynamic type player. I also disagree on Joao Moutinho. He is simply not that good technically and I don't reckon he would play well in the deep lying playmaker role. He has brilliant stamina, natural fitness, bravery, determination, work rate, teamwork, decisions and long shots. The rest of the important box to box attributes, he is also decent in.

mate, senna is used in the TTF 10 as a deep lying playmaker, and i have searched for the needed stats for a deep lying playmaker, moutinho came up

I was just stating that I don't reckon Senna or Moutinho have the technical stats to play the deep lying play-maker role, I have always thought of Xabi Alonso, Pirlo etc as deep lying play-makers, not Senna. He isn't a brilliant passer of the ball (not saying he is bad but nothing special), his technique is not good and he also has low creativity. Thinking about Moutinho he probably can play as a deep-lying play-maker but he is a very versatile midfielder and he can play in various midfielding positions and I reckon box to box is one of them, just my opinion.

I'd add Marco Verratti to the list. It might not be the best way to use him but he certainly has the technical skills and mental stats for the role. His size might be a bit of disadvantage.

cheers mate, Guarente is class!! get him as early as possible too, i was trying to get him for about 23-27 million in the 4th season! (even before he made his Italian debut :))
 
I would reccomend McDonald Mariga, he has great fitness and stamina, and is doing a great job there in my Parma team.
 
I play Veloso as a Box to box and i got 4 goal, 20 assist in 50 game in first season . and now after 4 games , 7.32 rating.. That is with Sunderland
 
Have de Rossi playing as a box to box in my Madrid save. Was injured for a while though, placed de la red in for him. Filled role surprisingly well.

Edit: Has anyone else tried de la red?

I usually use a Box-to-Box midfielder in the majority of my tactics, the best sucess I've had has been with Gokhan Inler, Marco Verratti and Joao Moutinho. All three were awesome as a b-t-b midfielder, especially Verratti in seasons after about 2013, absolute beast with goals and assists galore
 
what about witsel is hea box-box mids if not where is his best position/ role. im playing him alongside mats rits. ??
