Hi All,

Im brand new to football manager, i have the football knowledge but am having trouble with tactics in terms of conceding goals. im with watford and doing well scoring, but when it comes to defending we cannot help but concede every game. any basic details you can give me to get me moving forward?

Download tactics! I recommend Mr Hough, JP Woody and Raikan

eddiem352 - at the moment we have the basic 442 and basic instructions i have not changed much.

In all seriousness, you could try setting your centre backs role to cover. What roles have you given to your centre mids?
