breaking through defence

Okay hi everybody, so i have this issue where as my tactics are reasonably slow tempo, I find myself in the position where the opposition pack all their defenders and midfielders around the penalty area with my men amongst them with my attacking midfielder looking to thread a ball through, yet he never does because he has no options, they have like 2 men marking each of my men! and yes I've tried playing wider and playing it to the wings to stretch the defence, and i had quite minimal luck. my tactics are as follows:

Hi Mate.
I'm no expert but it sounds like you might have to speed things up a bit. Your slow tempo is giving them a chance to get back and get organised. Also, you might have to use more movement up front. Try swapping positions and the like. (Dunno if you're already using it as the link to your tatic is broken.) Hope this hopes a bit bud.

Put tempo on 4-6 clicks - width on 6-7 try and get some pace on the wide areas too , also use the shout hassle opponents and work ball into box.
