Normally buy him for city along side Phil Jagielka.

Yeah he is pretty solid. Scores a lot from set pieces as well. If memory serves me I don't think he is any spring chicken though.

He's pretty good but there are better options, I think...

Phil Jones or Nicolas Otamendi, maybe?

Quite a legend on previous versions of FM and a great defender on this years game too. One of the best options if you want a top defender right at the start not some youngster who needs a few seasons to reach his potential.

I have him on my newcastle save and im into 2013.

Solid CB, scores mainly from corners! he can be trusted to make last ditch tackles and hardly looses a header at the back

scored 10 goals in 29 games this season (all from corners) he is my vice captain and also a player coach so can influence in all areas

cost me £9 million though....well worth it!
