Please note that I am using the LFC Marshall update in fm12 for this story

Brendan Rodgers :
A New Era

It was another day to look forward to for me. It was another day at Swansea Football Club. When suddenly, everything changed. I received a phone call, asking whether I was interested in the Liverpool FC job. I was chuffed, but responded saying that if I'm not the number one choice, I won't be joining.

Hours later I received another phone call. This time they said I was the number one man. They said they admired my philosophy and style of play and that I was the man to carry Liverpool forward.

After a while of negotiating, we finally came to an agreement of a two year contract of £22,500 per week.

Start of season expectations

I told the board that I really believed I could qualify for the Champions League.
As a result I have gotten £20.48m transfer budget with a £238k per week available wage budget

Brendan Rodgers to meet the media :

You sit here as the new Liverpool manager. Is this your dream job?

I am absolutely delighted to be hired, it really is a dream come true.

What can we expect from you in the transfer market?

I am only interested in signing the very best players available.

What would you say is your tactical approach to the game?

Football is about entertainment, and that is what I promise the Liverpool fans.

Brendan Rodgers' notes

A good week overall.
Wiped out all the staff members except Rodolfo Borrell, will be bringing in new staff
Made new training schedules, assigned the appropriate schedule for all the players.
Made a new tactic which is a variant of 4-3-3
Cancelled friendlies, arranged new friendlies.

Controversies

Joe Cole unhappy with Brendan Rodgers' team talks

Rodgers' monthly notes

Well, I managed Liverpool to a good month overall, we dominated all the matches, specially that 1st leg match in which we were faultless and were highly unlucky to only score two.

Yep, not sure if this is an exploit.. I made it myself. I'll post a screenie soon with the next update, the fever is getting to me. (literally, i have a fever)

News

Raheem Sterling becomes youngest ever Liverpool goalscorer
Daniel Agger injured on international duty for 3 months
Anfield set to be expanded to a 55000 all-seater by 31st August 2012

Current Injuries

Lucas Leiva, out for between 3 weeks and 2 months
Daniel Agger, out for between 3 weeks and 2 months
Danny Wilson, out for 3 to 4 weeks.

Rodgers' Thoughts

I reckon I'll try and qualify for the CL this season and go on a decent CL run next season while aiming to win a cup and challenge for the title.
We can still win the title this season but we'll have to start getting some consistency and of course some transfer budget for January.
Agger's injury is a big blow, and it has ruined the balance of the team.
My job is insecure, will need to start getting results soon, apparently my possession domination isn't enough.
It's justified though, as we sit 16th in the league at the end of September.

A personal disappointment for me, since I have lost interest in the save... Too busy with life at the moment and will only be there for fm13
