Cardiff City appoint Brian Laudrup
Just hours after Malky Mackay was sacked as Cardiff Manager, the board have decided to appoint former Rangers and Denmark International Brian Laudrup as their new manager. This has been seen as a facinating appointment, with Brian's brother, Michael, managing Swansea City, who are Cardiff's rivals.
In his first press conference, Brian vowed their would be no rivalry between him and his brother, but also believes both his side and Swansea, will be both be in the Premier League next season.
"I want promotion this season. Malky was sacked because he failed that. I'm in charge to ensure that this season, we take the leap up to the Premier League. I'm sure my brother, Michael, will keep Swansea safely in the top tier, as he is a wonderful manager. Having both ourselves and Swansea in the Premier League will give welsh football a massive boost".
