Bridlington Town "From the sea-side to a Premierside"

Who changed my thread title? :S

I did, Becky was complaining that she couldnt get the song 'oh i do like to be beside the seaside' out of her head because she kept seeing your thread title at the top of the recently updated posts list. She kept going on and on so i decided to change it, i meant to message you but i looks like i forgot. Sorry pal.

Nice story though mate :)

Nice to see you going well in the FA Cup. Will get you out of debt and more reputation to what you already have :D

Cheers man, i got a update coming in about 30 mins with some nice suprise results.

Port Vale v.s Bridlington Town
View attachment 57642
Scorers: O.G, Lee
An own goal from a Port Vale defender cost them dearly today, but Brid Town battled all 90 minutes and earned the win. Port Vale sat bottom of league 1 after a poor season, I guess it just got worse.

I cant describe the feeling after winning this game, not just the win that counts but the money we recieved for the win and for the 3000 sold out stadium gate tickets. Overall this results is by far Bridlingtons Best result of there history. Now we have to travel to Tottenham for a difficult game and maybe the end of the FA Cup road this season.

The biggest winner this month has been the way our finances has rocketed and finally for the first time we have hit the + side of things. Hopefully this will continue.

Sorry to rain on your parade mate but you are infact only in the fifth round. There's an error with the lower leagues being in. It doesnt count the 2 rounds before the qualifiers . :( But well done anyway :)

Bridlington Town get 5th promotion on trot and enter the record books.

Bridlington Town have been Promoted to League 2 and that makes it 5 seasons and 5 promotions since manager Carl Taylor has been in charge. Media predicted a miserable 20th postion for the Seasiders at the begaining of the season but not only have they proved them wrong, they have done it in record breaking fashion, They currently have 104 points which has beaten the previous record held by 100 by Rusden and Diamonds. The part time side will have alot of work to do for next season as they hit the full time football scene. Question is: Can they stay up or slump back down the league ladder.

Cant believe its another promotion, i'd be lying if i said we are ready for full time football, but ive got a month to sort the team out. Finances are on the up and hopfully so will Stadium expanse and Training facilitys. There gonna be alot of work in the transfer market before we can consider staying up in this league. But yet again im looking forward to the challange.

Not much action as i wanted in the transfer market but grabbed myself a few great loan deals to help try and avoid relgation.

Grabbed this young keeper when Deportivo let him go. Alot better than my current keeper and to grab him on a free transfer is great.

(Popovic, Free Transfer)

A great signing and going to be the boss of midfield and the playmaker. He had a good pre season and hopefully will his form will continue.

(Sheppard, Free Transfer)
View attachment 58105
My quest not to spend any money and save continues as i bag this striker for a back-up to my squad.

(Gould, Loaned from Arsenal)
View attachment 58104
Very suprised this young striker joined and his stats for this level are amazing and im hoping he will score plenty of goals.

(Zatosleski, Loaned from Arsenal)
View attachment 58106
Another striker to add more dimension and hopefully to partner Gould and Rose upfront.

::: Opponents and Predicitons :::
View attachment 58112

::: Media Predictions :::
1st: Millwall
2nd: Peterbrough United
3rd: Tranmere Rovers

My media prediction is a healthy 24th :s . But i prefer it that way cos i will try my hardest to avoid relagation. Board Prediciton is to avoid relagation.

::: My Pre-Season thoughts :::

I didnt have the best pre-season in the transfer market as i wanted to but i feel i have snapped up enough talent to avoid relagation. My personal aims are to stay in the league and have a bit of cup success to build up the finances.

::: Season To Start Soon :::

Matt Gould look like a star player :), a bit slow but other skills compensate this minor effect :P. Good luck in League 2

Yeah hopefully he will do well. Really need to look into splashing sum cash, got like 50k to spend to find sum decent players...
