BREAKING NEWS!!!

Bristol City have appointed local boy Alex Morrison as their new manager after having sacked former boss Gary Johnson last month. They have shocked pundits and fans alike, as caretaker boss Kieth Millen looked set to take the post.

City's pre-season consists of 4 away fixtures, including two games in Scotland and one in Northern Ireland. Morrison stated that everyone at the club would get a chance to show what they can do in the friendlies.

12.07.2009
Montrose 0-4 Bristol City
Nicky Maynard (4), Paul Hartley (53), Ivan Sproule (60), Gavin Williams (87).
A good first game in charge, played some good football and got four goals to show for it.

16.07.2009
Alloa Athletic 0-3 Bristol City
David Clarkson (38), Jamal Campbell-Ryce (50), Patrick Agyemang (87).
Another good performance ensured that we beat a second Scottish side in a week.

22.07.2009
Glenavon 0-3 Bristol City.
Nicky Maynard (15), Patrick Agyemang (55), Danny Haynes (70).
We continued our good performances in Northern Ireland by scoring three more goals. A third consecutive clean sheet is also very pleasing.

31.07.2009
Ebbsfleet United 0-1 Bristol City
Lee Johnson (45+1).
Not such a good performance against a side two tiers below us, represented by the fact we only won 1-0. The positives however, are that we kept another clean sheet and kept our 100% record for the pre-season.

03.08.2009
TRANSFER NEWS - Midfielder Frankie Artus has been loaned out Blue Sqaure Premier League Side Wrexham for 5 months. Morrison said that it was good opportunity for him to gain some first team experience.

Middlesbrough 1-0 Sheffield United

08.08.2009
Preston North End 1 vs 3 Bristol City
Jon Parkin (90+2); Nicky Maynard (28), Marvin Elliot (44), Evander Sno (88).
A fantastic start to the season at Deepdale. A potentially tough start to the season has been overcome come with a brilliant performance. Even if Preston were a little bit off colour we still needed to take full advantage and to get three goals away from home on the opening day leaves the fans optimistic for the season ahead. Being a perfectionist I was disappointed to give away a sloppy goal in stoppage time!

Our 100% record would obviously not last all season, just it a shame it went against our severside rivals. Silly mistake from Dean Gerken led to the first goal, but we came back well and probably deserved a second equaliser in the second half.

Our best performance of the season saw put four goals past recently relegated Middlesbrough. We dominated from start to finish and Middlesbrough were never in the game. The result leaves City fans excited, as this unexpected thumping result has boosted the reputation of manager Alex Morrison. There were certainly not many who could predicted this demolition.

After the international break City continued their good form at the Ricoh Arena, a ground at which they have never lost. A great away performance from the lads. Before the game Coventry manager said that Nicky Maynard was not a threat to his side, which made his opening goal that little bit more sweet.

Not a great performance but the game really could have been 6-6. The difference between the two sides was that Swansea took there chances whereas we didn't. Its a good job our trips across the bridge end here seeing as we have only lost 2 games so far this season; away to Cardiff and now Swansea.

A really poor first half performance was followed by a really good second half one after ripping into the lads at half time. Nicky Maynard scored his 50th career league goal and his 5th & 6th of the season either side of Clarkson's 4th to complete the comeback.

As much of a fantastic result this is, it was against a second string Liverpool side. Nevertheless we played really well and deserved the victory. Liverpool "reserves" were never in the game and even though they did bring on Gerrard, Kuyt and Benayoun to try and rescue the situation it was not to be.

Unfortunately i have encountered a problem. Whenever i get to a certain date (09.10.2009/10.10.2009) i get a "screen dump" error. I have no idea what this means or how to get rid of it. If anyone knows how to deal with this error i would appreciate your help because until then my story cannot continue any further. Thanks.
