Buying Off Steam

How does this work? Can you buy it and download it from midnight to your computer?

If so does the download take aslong as the demo did (took hours!).

You can buy it and download it right now, but Steam will only activate the game and allow you to begin playing at/after midnight.

It downloaded for me in under ten minutes, but the demo was very quick for me as well. If you took a long time to get the demo, I would expect similar speeds for the full game, but I can't speak for Steam servers, nor your connection.

I pre-ordered from FM Base and started a pre-download roughly an hour or two ago. At only 300kb/s I'm 92% through the download. I was playing a network game of FM11 at the same time, but on a decent 1MB/s connection it should take less than an hour.
