Tried this tactic, only the "away" one in every game, with Vitoria Setubal (portuguese liga, 4th season), did 10 games, all wins. I could see that it has many goal attemps, if players are good, they will score.
Ok, the problem is on defending.
I admit my defenders are average ones, not superstars or internationals, but I don´t think the problem on defending are due only to them.
I saw the plays and there are few times that when opposition are dribbling to my midfield, my attackers (even those 2 F9) dont try to steal the ball or even do anything, 3 attackers just stay on with opposition defenders watching the show in front of them, while opposition midfield prepares the attack, solo, without any pressure... and while my CMs and defenders are all walking backwards, looking at the oppositon guy dribbling alone... my guys only try to stop the oncoming attack when it almost reaches the penalty area, then, u know, a running pass behind the back of any of my denfender makes a 1 vs 1 situation and they score... seems like my team is a very easy pray for almost any of the mid to high teams in the league.
But of course, I can manage to score easily 3 or 4 goals within first half, but the way I conceed goals is just wrong tacticly. Any ideas or tweaks? Or just get better defenders to fix this?
