Can’t make sub during network game after injury to player ?

Me and my friend are playing a network game and whenever one of us get an injury during a game it doesn’t let us make a sub and we have to force continue so resolve the issue. Any ideas?

Also having the same problem mainly since the update last week. Playing a network game with 2 others and every single time there is an injured player that requires subbing, it is not possible to drag and swap the player. The game doesn’t freeze it is just impossible to continue through the match as it keeps requesting that the injured player is substituted.
