After having using your standard 4231, 433 and 4312 formations with massive success I was wondering If any formation can be made to Work, I will explain why I am asking. I started out with Lincoln in the vanarama league and won back to back promotions before moving on to a recently relegated Leeds. I managers to take them back to the premier league and was 6th when West Ham approached me, they had some interesting players so I joined them. I have just completed my first full season in charge and finished 3rd. I have now built what I consider a league challenging team but I'm bored of the standard tactics and with players such as moussa dembele(36 in 40 goals in my first season) ousmane dembele, draxler, correa, mbappe, moise Kean. I want to try an fit all these players in and was thinking of playing 3412. Can players like dembele an mbappe play as wide players in a formation like this with out me being over run. Has anyone made such formations work?
