Can someone answer this about jan transfer window please...

im playing as gateshead at the mo but i support forest.

i thought thats i would play as a lower league club until the jan transfer window closes to then use any patch that is created so i get the latest transfers.

but im getting impatient and want to start now.

can i start with forest now and still upload the jan transfer window???????????

No.

Database changes only take effect on new save files.

The only way a patch affects an ongoing save is match engine changes and bug fixing.

The January transfer window patch is scheduled for release in late February, so you'll be waiting a long time if you don't want to start until then.
