Can you assign staff roles using the in-game editor?

I've just used the in-game editor to sack my Under 21's Manager and bring in a better replacement. However, the game has automatically assigned his replacement as a 1st team Coach, and I can't see any obvious way to alter his contract and give him the Under 21 Manager's role.

Am I missing something?

The "Edit Contract" options only allow me to alter his wages and the length of his contract, not his actual role.

Not sure if he'll retain the role if you "move to my club" someone who already has that contract via the editor though..?
