Cannot get near to winning the Champions League!

ok so i'm Napoli and really need help with my squad/tactics to be able to capture that elusive Champions League. First and second season I won the domestic double, but third season I underperformed and ended up with nothing. I've been knocked out the CL by Barca twice in quarter finals and Chelsea once in the last 16.


I play a 4-3-3

Romario---Varane----Sakho----Santon

M'Vila

Sigurosson----Hamsik

Cavani----Willian

Fierro

Subs of note:

Inler
Inigo Martinez

Jose Angel
Niang
(3 or 4 promising regens but they're around 17-19)

So starting my 4th season I'll have around 40 mil to spend but with a few sales of bit-part players I could end up with around 55 I guess.
Any transfer or tactical help would be appreciated

Domestic domination tactics never work in the latter stages of the champions league. Whenever i have won the champions league on my man utd file it's been through a disciplined defensive tactic, with 2, sometimes 3 defensive midfielders!

i still used my more attacking tactic in domestic football, but whenever i've tried to use it in the latter stages in Europe i've been knocked out.

Frustrate the big boys of europe and hit them on the counter with cavani and willians pace.
