Cant bid for player after "walking away"

If i walk away from negotiations at the contract stage...it doesnt let me bid for the player again, it still says in the players transfer info that we are at the contract stage... what do i need to do? or is this a bug?

Go to the players profile and check if there's a contract offer tab. If there is, just cancel again.

If there isn't such a tab, go to the transfer center and cancel the offer from there.

Can't think of anything else, so if that doesn't help it might be a bug.
