Can't change shirt number

First of all, I'm sorry for my English.
Secondly, the main problem.
It's July 2011 now in game.
I've bought some new players - I can give them any number I want. But what about other players...
Computer have changed every shirt numbers BEFORE the first season (Germany, Koln) and not only for my team - for Bayern, for Borussia, for everyone! Klose has got 39, Olic smth like 43 etc.
I just can't change such stupid shirt numbers. Look

as you see, they are unactive.
What should I do, how to repair it?

Not sure, but it think , because the german seasons starts earlier, and you may have chosen to start the game at july, so it was too late to change the numbers, i think....?

yes, I must agree with you - I have chosen to start game even LATER than July.
but even if you are right, what about the second season? It's July 2011 now and I still can't change any shirt number.

P.S. by the way, i have tried to start my game according to german season starts (oh, my poor English ). Nothing has changed - random stupid numbers.

Maybe the registration windows hasn't opened yet? Or maybe it's closed? Or it's a bug

unfortunately it's the only way to explain it.
4th July 2011. Registration windows is open.
But what a "wonderful" bug - everytime I start new game in Germany, it's the same problem.

Can you still register players to your squad? If you can, don't worry about squad numbers. I spent many seasons with Rafael playing with the number -1. It was annoying but i got on with it.

Yes, I can register new players and give them any free shirt number. Is it realy no decisions?
By the way, I remember when some midfielders in real life had got number 1 )))
