Can't download tactics for some reason?

I have win-rar but whenever I try to download a file it doesn't allow me to open it with win-rar, infact it doesn't open with anything.
Other downloads such as player faces are working fine, just tactics, anyone know why?

you don't open tactics, you just move them to your tactics folder in
my documents- sports interactive - football manager 2010 - tactics
if you don't have a tactics folder just create one

yeah i've done it before, i can't extract them is what i mean, when i click download it says open with.. or save file, either way i can't do anything and apparently i don't have the programme to do anything with them. thanks for the help though

is the file a .tac file?

because if it is then drag it into the folder i said then when your in game go to tactics then above the pitch press tactics then archived tactics and your tactic should be there

The majority of tactic files on FM-Base are .tac files and you don't open them. You simply save them to the location in step 3 of the following guide.....
