Can't get the national team manager position

Hey there, I have following problem: I am a hall of fame manager who won everything in the last couple of years with an adaptability of 14 but apparently I am not considered the right choice for any national team I applied for. Neither my origin country(germany) nor any other country in the world wants me, any tips what I'm doing wrong?

I think you can't manage Germany through applications in the game. The national team is locked at the start of the game so you are never supposed to manage the team. The only way to manage them is by adding a new manager having unlocked it.
