Can't get to Game!!??

Everytime i'm in the throes of playing FM09 and get to the stage of going into my 1st friendly...i get to picking team then loading game and it crashes/freezes!!! Is this a common problem and is it fixable?? (its not the graphics card because when i initially played the game had a match with TV view!!)
yours frustrated...if not slightly angry

Reading thru other posts it seems there seems to be a few faults....futher to that i sm 'patched' too, so it seems very strange that i should still be experiencing problems!!?
