Very low shot accuracy leads me to believe that they're poor quality shots. Long range possibly too. No holding midfielder and the front 4 all on attack duties. It's a poor tactic.

Do you watch the matches? What do you see that's wrong; what are the main issues? What highlights level do you watch matches in?

Try and change your mentality from Control to something else, with control mentality you are more vulnerable to counter attack

I have been changing about the tactics through the season , Wingers i often change from attack to support , Have tried using a defensive mid a few times , Surely with a team like Norwich i should be attacking more then trying not to let goals in ,

Obviously, but you're only attacking and poorly as well. It's very predictable and one-dimensional. You have 3 (possibly 4 players) who will sit on the D-line, making it difficult for them to receive the ball. That's why you're getting poor shot attempts. There are no proper passing options.

Defensively, it's a mess too. The front 4 won't track back much. You have no holding midfielder to guard against counter attacks.

Yep can see your point worth a try, But you have to admit i should be scoring more goals , FM has always felt this way .

A ball winning midfielder also needs a more static partner, which will allow him to roam and try and win the ball back, maybe make your wide men to support and select the 'get further forward' player instruction. I play a 4-2-3-1 with a DLP(D) and CM(D) and they offer protection for the defence which allows the rest of the midfield/attack to play more freely.

And if you push higher up you'll want to play a sweeper keeper to help with balls that split your defence.

Also a reason i tend to go with the AM over the DM , Is because i have Wes Hoolahan who is one of the best AMC in the league and i like to think Norwich should have that attacking option.

No. Considering just how bad that tactic is, you're doing okay, scoring-wise.

Using an AM is absolutely fine, maybe drop him to support because you're using shorter passing, so he will come deep to get the ball making the passing options easier. To combat the poor scoring opportunities, maybe select 'work ball into box' so you can give your striker a few more clear cut chances.

Yep you were correct . Had two games left in the season , Changed wingers to support over attack & AM, Also changed to flexible over Fluid which i normally find works best , And i won the last two games easily , Shame i finished a point outside the playoffs!

i still don't understand what's people fixation with Ball Winning Midfielders.. they are to be used with a midfielder who's actually a HOLDING MIDFIELDER!

i had the same problem that you have, but it was solved by not having too many players in the front, which is ironic, at least.

If you use a lot of attacking players, the AI will use the same amount plus 2 of defenders, will lower the d-line and it will be ready for long balls to strike your nets with 2 players...

If you crowd your midfield and make your strikers more roaming, like Ronaldo, Benzema, RVP, Messi, the defenders will have more problems tracking them, leaving holes in the defense line, so your mids can enter and score.

Im using a mix of concepts that i've seen in blogs and forums online, added to one defender and only 2 strikers. The rest its a crowded midfield that makes me control the game and mu strikers score more
