You're using an Attacking mentality that already has high levels of closing down. You're increasing that even more. That mentality also already has a high D-line. You're pushing up even more.

The IF/A players out wide won't contribute much, defensively, so you're putting a lot of strain on the remaining players to press the **** out of everyone. If the opposition start pushing forward quickly, you're risking giving goals away.

Attacking-wise, your TIs make little sense, but you seem to be having problems defensively so concentrate on that.

You're also using a stopper/cover central defensive partnership and the offside trap. Take your time when creating tactics and think about things, you wouldn't make such a decision had you thought about it.

I'm playing as Plymouth Argyle and I cant stop conceding goals? I am massively underachieving and I have recently conceded 5 against York City in 20 min after being 1-0 up at half time! Every tactic I use will result in me conceding!

What should I do to fix this?

Mate in all honesty, it looks like you've spent 0 time, and you've just clicked a load of instructions and roles. You need to consider whether it's logical or not. You don't HAVE to click one or the other. It depends on how you want your team to play. If you don't know, don't click, and watch the game and see for yourself what you think you need to do/what your team is lacking.

Im also assuming you just have this one attacking tactic- this will cost you at home, or if teams attack you when you're away, even if you're the better side it'll still probably be 50/50. You need to think about a more defensive tactic, maybe a counter attacking tactic. And then probably a controlling tactic for when you're 1/2 goals up and just want to keep ball.

Plus you need to consider your wide play, at the moment you leave huge space down the right hand side, because your IF A will be high up and probably playing narrow, and the FB on that side is Defend? On an attack tactic this seems strange, definitely change it to support. I'd probably try one of the wide men as actual wingers on support, and a full back on attack. This will make your attacks versatile and hard to judge. Also, it gives permission for one of your central players to offer some penetration through the middle, so lose a Box to Box- I understand they have high stamina and you want them to work hard, so try an Attacking CM, he will work AS hard, and just burst forward and support attacks more than a BBM will. Hope this helps

Yes, have you tried it? What do you think?

Also, when you created this tactic, how did you envision it to work?

Who will be them main scorer(s)?

Who will be the main creator(s)?

I was mainly relying on the Left Winger and the CM to be the creators will my striker was my main goalscorer

Main scorers don't have support duties. I'd add "usually", because I'm sure someone has an example, but it's very unlikely.

Yea it turns out not a very good tactic... Dominated the first half against Accringtion but was still loosing 1-0 and the killed my defense in the half and I lost 3-1...

Thanks for the tips here is my new tactic. Any tips?

Your target man is isolated, how can he play others in when he has no one supporting him?

take off 'be more expressive' and have your team play more rigid. use player instructions to set people being expressive.

Try setting BBM to BWM. As a BBM he will look to push forward when you have possession and that will leave you open if your Fb and both CM are attacking Remove look for overlap and change your RB to support and your LB to CWB or FB Attack (as your AP will look to drift inside to create the space and will pull the oppositions RB out of position. also move your DM to the LDM position, puts him better placed to cover the LB area when they push up.

I would also personally drop the Cover and Stopper CB and just play either 2 CB defend or Limited defenders. Your stopper will push up the pitch, leaving the guy covering exposed..

I also play as Plymouth and their defence are their best feature. McHugh is an absolute bomb scare in my opinion - drop him. Of the default back 4, I prefer Purrington - Hartley - O'Connor - Mellor (although I have replaced both full backs). In this formation, my defensive instructions are... Drop deeper. That's it. Because they're slow. As another poster said, 2 CBs, and don't play offside with those players, they're not intelligent or fast enough. Argyle have one of the lowest stamina ratings in the league, so if you're constantly pressing, I'm not surprised you're taking the lead then getting blown away. One caveat to that is when I play a back 3 (bring in Nelson, the 3 CBs are the 3 best players) with wing backs, I pack the midfield and press. Less running per player, although don't use this if the opposition are likely to overload your full backs.
