Can't terminate loan!

I have Rhys Murphy on loan from Arsenal and he has recently got injured for 6-8months and his loan is only until 1.1.2012. I want to cancel this pointless loan but there is no option to?

Am i being a complete moron or is there some rule...

think it is usually caused by a loan fee agreed with the club(arsenal)
therefore you cant send him back.
