cant understand this game

i play as newcastle and got promoted to premier league.

i got a couple of good signings (jo and couple of youngsters). pre season was good met chelsea in community shield and won 3: 0. it seen everything is going well.

but i cant seem to win league games my first game was against wolves and lost 1 : 0 and went to europe and won 4 : 1. then my next league game was against Forrest and again loose 1:0.

i just wanted to check why i lost so restarted the game and tried different tactic but whater i do i always loose. i got far better players than these guys.

can someone please tell me whats going on how can i win 3 : 0 , 4:1 and then loose in league games.
 
It happens.

Don't restart the game mate. Give it one more go though. Just tweak how you play again.

Real managers can't restart a game.
 
you have to get your tactics exactly right, that happened to me and i tinkered and I have a fair amount of wins.
 
but how much is dependent on tactic.

i was against tottenham and engine decides my LB jose will have a bad game. so every pass to AML goes out of the play. i tried to make his passing shot but it didnt work either. 3 of my other players are also having a bad game. the opponent passes the ball into space, my CB get the ball and waits. defo comes, tackles my player, gets the ball just like that sprints and scores. whole game is filled with incidents like this.
 
FM is designed to be the most realistic manager sim on the market, it's bound to be frustrating some times. Stick at it mate :)
 
It what makes the game great you have to learn how to handle games through experience nd premiership is a new level, hang in there
 
It looks like you might have some problems getting players motivated. You win one match and then complacency kicks in the next one. Have you read any of the articles/threads on team talks, Wolfsongs for example.

And losing games is what keeps me going at FM. On my current game I was about to resign from Man Utd after three seasons of success and titles, but then I lost some games at the start of the season, decided that the AI had finally cracked my tactic and went on making a new one losing another 3 or 4 games in the process. And then lost the league title on the last day. I think it was a loss against Southhampton that cost me the title. And because I lost the title I will stay at United for the last year of my contract to reclaim the title.
 
won my first game after 5 defeats. managed to scrape a victory against west brom who played like Barcelona. down side, three injuries in one match. 2 of them backup defenders. first choose defenders are already injured. now total of 9 injuries out of which 7 are first team.

read up on Wolfsgang's team-talk guide and stick at it,this is why FM is so fun to play cause ur facing problems every manager in the world faces

O.o cant believe ur reduced to playing Joes Barton at right-back

it just worst :) simpson got direct red and banned two and jonas is injured for 4 to 5 weeks. i am getting atleast one injury every match
 
then there is something wrong with your training intensity, if simpson gets a red, fine him
 
most of the time i loose by odd goal they score after 80th minute. i will set setting to very rigid and counter but they dont work either. does anybody knows how to counter these goals
 
go defensive and retain possession, and swap out tired players. maybe even go 4-1-4-1
 
i just played last game of my season and its disappointing. conceded late goals, couldn't brake down weaker opponents, couldn't finish, couldn't even pass correctly. tried many tactics but none of them worked.

can anyone suggest a good tactic with 2 strikers for next season.
 
This happens usually at the beginning of each season after promotion. Either you explode to the top, or you just can't win. Go for the draw a couple games. Play defensive or counter. You'll see you'll start winning after a while.
 
football manager isn't designed to let the best team win.
