Cardiff City Part Ways with Jones.
The Cardiff boss was today told to pack his bag's today after failing to reach the Premiership when Cardiff where beaten by shock play-off winners Blackpool. The Cardiff board are yet to release a statement but the comments given by Jones made the board-statement almost a formality.
The ex-Cardiff boss had this to say to a news reporter while leaving Cardiff City Stadium for the last time:
Apparently the play-off finals arent good enough for these ungratefull *******
Speculation is already mounting as to who will take over at Cardiff with the likes of Tony Mowbray and Ian Holloway both names that are currently being flung around by media. A surprise candidate could be ex-Cardiff youth/reserve player Rhys Nelson.
The scotsman is an untested manager but did play for Cardiff at the age of 17 until he was 19. He began at his local side Livingston before being signed by Cardiff but just days before his 20th birthday he suffered an injury playing for the Cardiff reserves that would end his proffesional career for good. He did continue playing sunday-league football but the potential he had was ruined on the day he sustained the injury, but could he be back at Cardiff once more. Stay tuned to find out.
