Carlo Ancelotti 4-4-2 by Passion4FM

So Ill share my 2 cents about this tactic. As someone already noticed its not a many goals scoring tactic or a go whole season unbeaten kind of tactic as in that it doesnt uses exploits or anything.

But this tactic offers a pretty realistic simulation of you've guessed it Ancelotti's Madrid. It might not work as good as you would like if you dont have the right players, but once you get the right players for the right positions boy your in for a treat.

The performances are really clean, you do good defensively. And its pure eyecandy to watch, the plays are incredibly fun to watch unfold before your eyes.

I dont have screens with long victory streaks as Ive tested this tactic with many teams up untill January 2015 (with some it went better than with other, for obvious reasons). But I would say download it. Build your squad around this tactic and enjoy! :D

thank you! glad you're enjoying this. yes the play as stated in the OP is incredibly satisfying

Very good tactic. Plays excellent attacking football and the defensive side isn't too bad either. Here is my start with Hoffenheim.

Kevin Volland is a beast! Had a slow start to the season but has stepped up to completely new level. Glad I said no to Bayern.

Deep lying forward supporting main striker. He can play anywhere in attack but in this position he is amazing.

I'm going to give this a go, with a fresh save and a hugely underwhelming Leeds side.

Not expecting miracles, but I'd like to get promotion first season, what are the priority positions I should be looking for. Also do you make any changes home vs away?

Looking forward to building a philosophy around this.

Cheers and great post

i don't really see particular players that make the difference, it's all about the team. i don't make changes, although sometimes i drop mentality if i don't feel safe when holding on to a lead. interesting players at leeds for this, good luck and let me know how it works for you

This seems a very solid tactic, and one that is not looking to exploit the ME like most of the tactics around. The football played is realistic and pleasing to watch. Congratulations to the author.

That said, adding the short corners routine would probably improve the results even more.

if you have a good corner set up, hit me up, i can't for the life of me figure anything out with offensive corners

Try the one from ellismcfc's tactic. It's a great set up which doesn't look/feel exploity (that's not a word)!

With this formation, it would have to be like this:

Aim at: SHORT

gk - default
dr - back
dcr - at. far
dcl - st. far
dl - back
mcr - default
mcl - deep
ml - default
amr - default
stc - default
stcl- keeper

IMPORTANT: DR takes right corner, DL takes left corner.

You will have only one player back, but trust me, you will score a lot more and the opposition will rarely take advantage of it. Try this exact setup for a few games and tell me if it works.
