CB Roles

Hi, i am managing Birmingham City and i keep conceding goals. my 2 CB's are Roger Johnson and Scott Dann. what roles should i put them in. At the moment Roger Johnson is centre defender and Scott Dann is a stopper. i keep conceding so what roles should i play them? any help is appreciated.
