I need good central midfielder with duty defend.

Michael Bradley (Roma), Claudio Yacob (West Brom), Valon Behrami (Napoli) could do a decent job for ya.

After a while, old stars get old and are cheap. I personally bought Alonso, Schwienstiger, and Xavi later on in my Liverpool save. All three can do the job. If you have Gerrard then play him there.

Stick with Allen. A good training regime will see him better than Gerrard after season 1. Or, at least it has on mine

Asier Illarramendi from Real Madrid, I picked him up for 6M second season. Seems consistent and steady, comes up with the odd goal here and there too.
