Central players don't cross

I have had problem like this in FM13 but there was a way ( in player instuctions) to change it,,
but now with the new player instructions
My problem is :
When a central player reaches a wide area he doesn't cross he only pass, I know it maybe bcuz of the match engine, but is there a way to encourage them to cross ?

CM(A] will cross at times. Central players with good enough crossing will cross as well. The ME is more intelligent in FM2014, those with bad crossing and decent decisions will simply refuse to cross it in the first place.

I play Grandison as FB auto and he never crosses, more often he tries to cut inside instead or play possession passes.
