i noticed that opposition forwards keep getting through my cb because there to forward would it be best to leave one as it is and set one to a little bit more of a sweeper also is it best to have a the faster one a bit more forward so he can run back if player gets past or is it best to have the faster one back to pick up the through balls quickly

Depends on your mentality system... some mentality systems do have a more forward centreback who attacks the ball and a deeper, quick, centreback who covers him. The Mourinho mentality system (see the TT&F documents for more info) is one which does this but there are others. You have to set up your whole team to play this way though because otherwise you're going to be done down nippy players having an easy time getting to balls over or through you.

I'd look more at OI to be honest mate - skillful strikers aren't always best closed down always but tightly man marked. Depends on the specific players though
