Table.PNG

Stats.PNG

Manchester City are once again running away with the league and top the table by 19 points. Manchester United have worked their way into the Top 4, but Tottenham and Leicester will likely overtake them, with both having two games in hand. Everton are edging closer to the Top 6, while at the bottom, Sunderland are fighting for survival but have had some decent form of late, winning 3 of their last 5. Kylian Mbappe remains the best player in the league, while Rodrygo is the top goalscorer. Kepa has some distance when it comes to clean sheets and it is a bit concerning to see none of the United, Spurs or Everton goalkeepers managing 6 clean sheets.

Sky Bet Championship
Sky Bet Championship.PNG

It's looking good for West Ham in terms of promotion, although it remains tight between the Top 4, with Sheffield United close. Wycombe are edging closer to staying afloat and it looks very likely, however have not been in the best of form recently.

Sky Bet League One
League One.PNG

Our sole League One team, AFC Wimbeldon, seems to heading for a mid table finish, 12 points off the play-offs and 13 off relegation.

Sky Bet League Two
League Two.PNG

Our sole League Two team, Dulwich Hamlet, looks to be heading for a similar finish, sitting in 18th but with no major fear of relegation.

Vanarama National League
Vanarama National.PNG

Our only National League team, Barnet are close to securing a promotion to the Football League system! They've confirmed a play-off finish and look likely to finish top.

Vanarama North
Vanarama North.PNG

Unfortunately, Scarborough Athletic are bottom of the Vanarama North and relegation has been confirmed for their side.

Carabao Cup
Tottenham 0-3 Liverpool.PNG

Liverpool win the Carabao Cup, thrashing Tottenham 3-0 in the final, whose striker Juan Carlos Cabrera was taken off injured.

FA Cup
FA Cup Semis.PNG

Burnley are a big surprise here, and face the FA Cup holders Tottenham in the semi-final. In the other clash is a massive Merseyside derby for a spot in the final.

UEFA Champions League
ECC Quarter Finals.PNG

Tottenham and Liverpool are the remaining chairman teams. Spurs have a difficult tie against Madrid, while Liverpool will favour themselves against Inter.

UEFA Europa League
Europa League Quarter Finals.PNG

Leicester are the sole chairman team who remain in the Europa League and will see it is a great opportunity to secure Champions League football next year, should they not finish inside the Top 4.

Europa League II
Euro Cup II.PNG

Everton are cruising through the Europa League II so far and will certainly fancy themselves against Utrecht and to win the competition.

EPL Final Table.PNG

EPL Statistics.PNG

Manchester City won the title by 18 points in the end, their 3rd in a row. Liverpool, as per usual, were runners up but closely followed by Manchester United, who enjoyed a terrific second half of the season to finish 3rd. Tottenham rounded out the Top 4, while Everton also did well in the second half of the season, to finish 5th. Leicester finished outside the Top 4, but still did well to finish in 6th. At the bottom, Sunderland survived, just, with a vital 3-1 win against Tottenham saving them. Unfortunately, chairman team Wolves were relegated from the division but will surely be one of the favourites to come straight back up.

Sky Bet Championship
Sky Bet Championship.PNG

In the Championship, West Ham and Sheffield United are back in the Premier League along with Crystal Palace (how it pains me to say that). Wycombe survived despite enduring a terrible end to the season, thankfully their previous results kept them up.

Sky Bet League One
Sky Bet League One.PNG

AFC Wimbledon finished in 17th, meaning they stay up, but they also had a poor end to the season.

Sky Bet League Two
Sky Bet League Two.PNG

Dulwich Hamlet also finished 17th, surviving comfortably in the end.

Vanarama National League
Vanarama National League.PNG

Barnet were promoted following on from a great season, meaning they are in League Two next season.

FA Cup
Liverpool 2-1 Tottenham.PNG

Liverpool, just like in the Carabao Cup, would beat Spurs again in a final, winning 2-1 via a late Salah winner. Spurs will be disappointed to lose both domestic finals, especially with both against Liverpool.

UEFA Champions League
Man City p2-2 Liverpool.PNG

However, Liverpool were not able to win this final, losing to Manchester City in the Champions League final on penalties.

Europa League II
Everton 3-1 Fiorentina.PNG

As predicted, Everton were victorius in the Europa League II, easing past Fiorentina in the final, whose goalkeeper endured a nightmare performance.

*The Europa League was won by Chelsea, so I decided not to include it here.

November Update

-
Notes: Scarborough are not shown in this update due to being in an unplayable league with the regular database
For the Europa League and Champions League, Group H is either completely or partially missing, but no chairman teams was in either.
The FA Cup hasn't made significant progress to warrant an update yet.
Not sure if Wolves are a chairman team still or not.

Premier League
Premier League.PNG

Statistics.PNG

In the Premier League, it's looking like a three horse race between Liverpool, Tottenham and Leicester, who have all started well. Everton will be happy to finally be in the Top 4, but are still losing too many games. Manchester United and Manchester City are recovering from poor starts, while newly promoted Crystal Palace and West Ham are struggling to cement their places in the division. Juan Carlos Cabrera remains the standout player in the league, and leads the race for the highest average rating once again.

EFL Championship
Sky Bet Championship.PNG

Wycombe, our sole chairman EFL Championship side, are struggling for survival this season after a mid table finish last time around. They haven't looked the same side since Gary Neville left the club and it will be interesting to see if they make another managerial chance in hope of restoring his magic.

League One
Sky Bet League One.PNG

Our only League One side are also in a relegation battle but currently sit outside the relegation zone.

League Two
Sky Bet League Two.PNG

Barnet have made a flying start to League Two, leading the way with a game in hand. They'll be delighted to be on track for another promotion! Dulwich Hamlet haven't done quite as well, but are still doing a decent job considering they were just promoted.

Carabao Cup
Carabao Cup.PNG

The Carabao Cup presents some interesting quarter final fixtures, notably with heavyweights Manchester United and Tottenham facing off.

Champions League
Champions League.PNG

All of our chairman teams have started well in the Champions League, with Liverpool and Tottenham already qualified, and United looking close to it.

Europa League
Europa League.PNG

Leicester and Everton are both easing through their groups in the Europa League, with Everton thumping in 12 goals in 3 games!

January Update

-
Once again, no FA Cup update as not enough progress has been made.

Premier League
Premier League.PNG

Statistics.PNG

Tottenham have a hold on the league, 6 points clear and in incredible form, with only Liverpool even close to them. Manchester City are certainly not winning another title this year bar a miracle, while Leicester and Manchester United are still aiming for Top 4 only. Everton will be extremely disappointed to be underachieving again and continue to lose far too many games for a side of their quality. At the bottom, West Ham and Sunderland are heavily embroiled in a relegation battle and likely need to have an effective January window to survive.

EFL Championship
Sky Bet Championship.PNG

Sole chairman team Wycombe have made a big improvement from last time, winning 5 times and losing only 3 since November.

League One
Sky Bet League One.PNG

AFC Wimbledon have also made an improvement and are only 6 points adrift of the play-offs.

League Two
Sky Bet League Two.PNG

Barnet are still looking good for another promotion and could go back top with a game in hand. Dulwich Hamlet are only 5 points off the play-offs and are in some really good form, so they could make a play-off push.

Carabao Cup
Carabao Cup.PNG

Swansea were the big surprise of the quarter finals, beating Blackburn, but they'll again be heavily up against it when facing United. The other semi-final is a massive clash between Liverpool and Manchester City.

Champions League
Champions League.PNG

Tottenham, United and Liverpool are all in with a chance of progressing into the quarter finals, with United probably getting the easiest draw.

Europa League
Europa League.PNG

The Europa League works in weird ways but these are the remaining teams. It will be interesting to see whether or not Everton focus on the Europa League as an avenue to playing Champions League football.

Premier League
Premier League.PNG

Tottenham continue to run away with the league and Juan Carlos Cabrera continues to be incredible for them. Manchester United and Leicester may be disappointed not to be in the Top 4, while Everton continue to disappoint, sitting 9th. At the bottom, West Ham are threatened with relegation while Sunderland are really battling to stay in the division, not made any easier by there recent run of especially poor form.

EFL Championship
EFL Championship.PNG

Wycombe are looking ever closer to ensuring survival with 4 games remaining, although they are only 5 points clear of the drop zone.

League One
League One.PNG

With 6 games remaining for Wimbledon, they lie 6 points off the play-offs but still have a decent chance of making it if they can put together some good form.

League Two
League Two.PNG

Barnet came into League Two and romped it at the first time of asking, getting promoted with 5 games to spare for themselves. Dulwich Hamlet are just outside the play-offs and will have aspirations to join Barnet in League One next season.

Carabao Cup
Manchester 1-1 Liverpool (Carabao Cup).PNG

Chairman team Manchester United lost on penalties to Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final, in what was an extremely tight game, evenly contested, but ultimately Liverpool add another trophy to their cabinet.

FA Cup
FA Cup.PNG

Tottenham will favour themselves to complete a domestic double as the FA Cup semi finals favour them, with an outside chance for Leicester to win a trophy.

Champions League
Champions League.PNG

The quarter finals have two active chairman teams remaining, and they face off against each other. Manchester United and Tottenham will go to head to head for a semi-final spot in what is sure to be a tight and tense clash.

Europa League
Europa League.PNG

Everton and Leicester both remain in the Europa League and will see it as a good avenue to try and play Champions League football next season.

Premier League

Premier League #2.PNG

Tottenham won the league by 15 points in the end, with Juan Carlos Cabrera getting the most goals and the most assists in another incredible season for him. Manchester United will be disappointed to miss out on the Top 4 as Leicester beat them to it, while Everton finished below Blackburn in 8th. At the bottom, a poor season for two chairman clubs, West Ham and Sunderland, resulted in them returning to the Championship along with Crystal Palace.

EFL Championship
EFL Championship #2.PNG

Wycombe survived relatively comfortably in the end, with a win and a draw in their last few games to cement their status

League One
League One #2.PNG

Wimbledon were unable to make a solid play-off push and will remain in League One next season.

League Two
League Two #2.PNG

Barnet were already promoted, but Dulwich Hamlet were unable to do the same, narrowly missing the play-offs after a slightly disappointing finish for them.

FA Cup
FA Cup.PNG

Tottenham thrashed Sunderland 3-0 in the FA Cup final, with Sunderland unable to end their season on a high after relegation. Spurs showed their quality to complete a domestic double.

Champions League
Champions League.PNG

Is it the changing of the guard in English football? Liverpool and Manchester City used to dominate, but Tottenham complete an incredible season by winning the Champions League with a couple of late goals against PSG to win 2-0.

Europa League
Europa League.PNG

Despite a poor season, Everton will be playing Champions League football next season as they defeated fellow chairman team Leicester 2-1 in the Europa League final.

Notes:
Unsure if Scarborough are still a chairman team; not included here
No major FA Cup progress to warrant an update
Group H of Champions League not included; but no chairman teams are in it

Premier League
EPL.PNG

Statistics.PNG

It's been a surprising beginning this season, with Everton finally doing a job in the league and, along with Manchester City, have opened up a bit of a gap already at the top. They'll be hoping to keep that going to finally have a successful season. Blackburn are also overachieving, while Tottenham, Liverpool and Manchester United have all started slowly, with United failing to win in their last five outings. At the bottom, Brighton are the team most embroiled in a relegation battle so far.

Sky Bet Championship
Championship.PNG

It's good news for all three Championship chairman teams, with West Ham and Sunderland occupying the two automatic promotion spots fairly comfortably and Wycombe sitting just outside the play-offs and are overachieving.

League One
League One.PNG

AFC Wimbledon seem to have stepped up from mid table and are now in the play-off hunt. For Barnet, it's not another title, but they have made a reasonable start to the division, considering they have come off two consecutive promotions.

League Two
League Two.PNG

Dulwich Hamlet have also improved, and they lie just outside the play-off spots.

Carabao Cup
Carabao Cup.PNG

The Carabao Cup progresses into the quarter finals, perhaps with the biggest surprise being Leicester knocking out Tottenham.

Champions League
Champions League.PNG

Everton and Tottenham have started their Champions League campaigns very well, winning all three of their opening games.

Europa League
Europa League.PNG

Our sole Europa League chairman side, Manchester United, have also made a perfect start to their group.

January 1st Update

Notes: Same as above except Europa League is not shown (I've got the only chairman team in it and we won our group so not really worth updating)

Premier League
Premier League.PNG

The two Merseyside clubs currently sit top, but the two Manchester clubs could overtake them with their games in hand. Blackburn continue to overachieve, along with West Brom, while holders Tottenham have disappointed this season, however they still could fight back if they have a strong run of form in the second half. At the bottom, Newcastle and Wolves are struggling massively but both sit outside the relegation zone.

Sky Bet Championship
Championship.PNG

West Ham are running away with the Championship, while Sunderland have dipped a little but are still close the 2nd spot. Wycombe have fallen well down the ladder and are looking like finishing mid table this year.

League One
League One.PNG

AFC Wimbledon might even dream of an automatic promotion this year, while Barnet, despite being 14th, are only 5 points off the play-offs.

League Two
League Two.PNG

Dulwich Hamlet still sit just outside the play-offs.

Carabao Cup
Carabao Cup.PNG

Manchester United may fancy themselves in the remaining teams but it will be a close run affair.

Champions League
Champions League.PNG

Everton received the most favourable draw, while Leicester and Tottenham have tough opposition, but still could very well go through.

Premier League
EPL.PNG

It's close at the top with Liverpool and Manchester City opening up ground a little on Everton, United and Tottenham. At the bottom, no chairman team is looking massively threatened by relegation, although Leicester are underachieving this season.

EFL Championship
Championship.PNG

West Ham have confirmed their promotion back into the Premier League, with Sunderland close behind. At the other end, it's a concerning position for Wycombe but they are currently in a good position to survive.

League One
League One.PNG

In League One, Wimbledon are 3 points off the play-off spots while Barnet are doing an incredible job and could be in for a 3rd consecutive promotion.

League Two
League Two.PNG

In League Two, Dulwich Hamlet are in 15th and haven't really pushed on since last season's close play-off finish.

Carabao Cup
Carabao Cup.PNG

Manchester United finally enjoyed some success, winning the Carabao Cup on penalties in a close game against Blackburn.

FA Cup
FA Cup.PNG

In the FA Cup, it looks like a Merseyside derby could be on for the final should the semi-finals go as planned.

Champions League
Champions League.PNG

Everton and Leicester are both still in the Champions League, with Leicester having the more favourable draw.

There are no remaining Chairman teams in the Europa League, with Manchester United being eliminated by Barcelona.

End of Season Update

-

I was potentially thinking of a final day update as there was drama, but decided against it.

Premier League
Premier League.PNG

At the end of the season, Manchester United had a terrific end and managed to win the league title for the first time since 2012/13! Liverpool dropped points in 3 of their last five games, as did City and United took advantage, to race into top spot and winning the league. Everton finally finished inside the Top 4, while holders Tottenham disappointed, finishing 5th. No chairman team was relegated, but Arsenal stunningly drop down to the Championship.

EFL Championship
Championship.PNG

West Ham and Sunderland come straight back up, while Wycombe finish mid table again.

League One
League One.PNG

Barnet couldn't achieve another promotion, falling short in the play-offs, while Wimbledon finished mid table once again.

League Two
League Two.PNG

Dulwich Hamlet had a poor season and finished 17th in League Two.

FA Cup
FA Cup.PNG

It was a Merseyside final, and Liverpool won the FA Cup 3-1 against Everton.

Champions League
Champions League.PNG

Everton also made the Champions League final, but heartbrakingly lost that too. Giampietro Ravasi got below a 6.0 match rating in both games, which suggests that the Everton goalkeeper was at fault in both finals.
